Natural Light Art Study Abroad 2019 Summer Course
Course name: 2019 Summer Graphic Design Overseas Experience Course
Course duration: 1 day
Course objectives and target groups:
High school students with zero foundation in graphic design who are studying abroad and preparing to apply
Undergraduate students who apply for postgraduate study after changing their majors
Course schedule:
10:00am-11:30am
Lecture: Introduction to British and American graphic design works, appreciation of poster design
12:00pm-2:00pm
Lunch break
2:00pm-5:00pm
Workshop: experimental typography - experimental font experience class

Graphic Design Experience Course Content:
1 Lecture:
Teaching purpose: to analyze the difference between British and American/Chinese art education, appreciate the collection of excellent students' graphic design works, and stimulate students' interest in studying art abroad. Appreciate excellent posters and let students open their minds
2 Workshop:
Teaching purpose: let students understand what is the creative design thought in British and American art education, the concept and application scope of empirical typography, and its position in the concentration of works.

Classroom practice arrangement (workshop time allocation):
-Brief (30min)
1 Basic introduction, application scope, design method and style reference of experimental font.
2. Brainstorm the application of materials and work reference.
-Work in progress (2h20min)
Divide into four groups, 3-5 people in each group. The teacher will give each group different materials. Students need to make fonts related to the meaning of the materials according to the materials.
(20min) Group discussion. The teacher understands the structure of each group's discussion
(90min) The team members are divided into 26 letters to make a word
(30min) presentation&critical
Each group displays their works for 7 minutes, and each group needs to ask and answer questions
Outcomes and outputs:
