advertisement

In the past 10 years, advertising has changed from one-way contact with specific media to two-way interaction with multiple media. The way of advertising can be integrated with each other. Some elements will remain unchanged, but there will also be brand needs to meet ordinary consumers (audience). In the art center, advertising students not only have the knowledge of traditional advertising, but also learn the latest trends in new media. In the basic course, students should master the communication methods in advertising, including film, online video, digital photography, graphic and interactive design, mass media and digital experience. In the later stage, students should improve their advertising ability according to their own skills, and combine traditional and non-traditional media to create a powerful way of communication. Our instructors include top art instructors, as well as people who understand and plan advertisements. The advertising major of the school is the oldest major in the United States. As a product designer, film producer, interaction designer, etc., alumni of the Art Center Design Institute have outstanding performance in these industries. They create new models and explore how these rules can enlighten others.

Entertainment Design

Entertainment designers are the core of TV visual experience, film, commerce, video game, animation industry and theme park. It has never been found before that creating new fields, new roles and new objects requires rich imagination, and it is necessary to understand how things are created and how to communicate with people who create these new fields. The entertainment design course of the Art Center Design College focuses on students' technology and creative things, which is a requirement for conceptual designers in the entertainment industry. Although entertainment design is a relatively new major, the graduates of Art Center Design School have become leaders in animation industry, video game, film and television industry. Alumni working nearby will be invited to teach as teachers and lecturers. In the first four semesters, the school will teach students to draw, render, mold and sculpture. At the same time, it will also let students understand 3D production tools. Finally, the school will teach students advanced courses in specific arts and expertise. In the past, in order to find jobs, students would combine illustration design and industrial design to improve their skills and works. Now, in terms of the advantages of these two courses, the school integrates these two courses and expands them. Students have the opportunity to cooperate with students from other universities, cooperate in interdisciplinary studios, work together on project design, and apply their own technology to business and other non-profit ways.

environmental design

The Department of Environmental Design focuses on all designs of space experience. The advantages of this project lie in the integrity and interactivity of the content, as well as emotional resonance. Environmental design is designed from the inside out. After understanding the needs, students will convert the information disclosed into relevant physical information or design. Students can work in a wide range: brand retail websites, theme restaurants, exhibition design and residential area design. Cultivate students to form international design concepts: study where people live, work and live, how to live, work and live, and understand comprehensive design concepts. In order to improve ergonomics and simply apply it, students need to explore new ways to integrate science and technology with the humanities.

film

In the fast-growing entertainment industry, emerging film producers must be bold, creative and dedicated. To sum up, they must be visual communicators. All courses of the Film Department of the Arts Center enable students to master the skills of film production, so that they can tell everything better. Located in Disney, Warner Bros., NBC, ABC, Paramount and Burbank Media District, our students have rare and rich resources: excellent film producers as teachers. In addition, students can directly shoot high-quality wide screen films of 16mm and 35mm, and can use the latest digital post production tools. This department adopts small class teaching, so that teachers and students can better communicate and exchange. Each semester, several chief guest lecturers from film studios and top film producers will be invited to give lectures. There is also an independent editing room, stereo surround recording equipment, mixing room, and a multi machine room with 24-hour rooms. In addition, there is a 5000 square foot painting screen and a green background stage. Whether graduates will work in film studios and radio stations, or as independent filmmakers, or in emerging media, this course will enable students to fully understand the knowledge of film production, master the skills of film production, and help students build confidence in success.

Photography and images

It is estimated that 3 million photos will be produced every day in the world, representing the ubiquitous role of photography in culture. Although almost everyone can take photos, only a few people can take excellent photos. The photography and image department can help photographers increase their skills and creativity, rather than simply making. Excellent images can travel through time and space without losing their meaning - whether they are pictures on mobile phones or display boards on buildings. In addition to concept and studio practice, students also learn technology, art, history and advertising, as well as business planning, brand promotion and marketing courses. Through some projects and interdisciplinary workshops sponsored by enterprises, students can cooperate with students in other majors. industrial design

The Industrial Design Major of the School of Design of the Art Center provides a two-year, six semester master's course, which focuses on theoretical and practical research, focuses on the development of people-centered design, and creates new business opportunities. We combine famous visual design, excellent skills, knowledge, theories and methods, which are crucial to the complexity and unstructured design scheme. At the same time, we cultivate students' leadership in creative organizations. Our teachers are famous educators in the fields of design, technology and business. They can help students develop their abilities through projects and exchanges. We believe that products should adapt to a larger social and ecological environment. The method of industrial design projects is to look at problems systematically and strive to balance challenges in business, technology and human resources. This method is called strategic innovation. This creative approach provides a good solution to human needs, and is widely used by designers and growing enterprises.

Multimedia Design and Production

The multimedia design major provides a two-year or three-year master's course to help the ideal designers become leaders and researchers in emerging fields, committed to design practice, and students have high research quality. Our project is not to teach students the status quo of the world, but to think deeply about how to change the status quo into the way we want it to be. In order to achieve this goal, the school provides two fields: laboratory and professional fields, to position and assume roles for designers.

Laboratory field: students work in a studio environment and use design to raise problems. We go beyond the paradigm of solving problems and position designers as researchers. They use design to participate in the world. We train media designers for the future, so that students can have outstanding performance and far-reaching influence in many fields, such as information and communication technology, industrial research and development, scientific research laboratories, communication media, knowledge production, infrastructure and policies, entrepreneurship or independent practice.

Professional field: in cooperation with Designmatters, students work in the real world context of social issues, media infrastructure and communication technology. In the process of social change (including good aspects), the school undertook the moral, political and practical aspects of design. Students experience the ability of high, low and no high-tech communication, and they can play an active role in launching new models and encouraging citizen participation. Graduates of this major are committed to design practices directly related to human survival.

Vehicle design

Postgraduates majoring in traffic design will help change the thinking of the automotive industry, transportation and personal mobility in a wide range of fields. The plan will provide two areas: vehicle tracking and transport system track. Vehicle track is aimed at students who want to enter the automobile manufacturing industry. They should have creativity and strategic thinking. In the field of transportation system, students in this field can use design and system thinking to come up with better transportation solutions at the system level. Now more and more enterprises believe that the value brought by designers far exceeds the development of products and services. Therefore, this project aims at two areas, combining design methods, strategic innovation, systematic thinking, customer-oriented, and has excellent communication skills. Therefore, through expert knowledge and understanding of their respective fields, graduates will become the promoters of changes in the transportation field. The project aims to cultivate innovative leaders and make contributions to automobile manufacturers and institutions responsible for implementing and providing transportation system solutions.
