MCAD Graphic Design Specific Course
This course provides students with an overview of graphic design practice. Students focus on building visual language and communication skills, as well as vocabulary necessary for critical analysis. The content includes basic vision and printing principles, types and image fusion, composition, sequence, and process. Students are also introduced into the design process, including research, conception, iteration, refinement and implementation. Graphic Artist Designer
MCAD Graphic Design is an intermediate course that examines the program framework of graphic communication. This course covers a series of topics, including the practicality of series and system methods, content generation models and strategies, and the extended concept of hierarchical content. Some project components require students to be responsible for writing language and image content. At least one project needs a formal document describing the design process. Printing and digital results range from experimental research on image propulsion to marking manufacturing and recognition systems.
Digital production
MCAD Digital Graphic Design provides students with a practical and comprehensive overview of the digital production process, from organizing, preparing and managing digital files to achieving professional quality output. Instructors referenced and demonstrated many topics, including raster and vector art preparation, font and color management, materials, formats, workflow, and vendor communications. Students examine standards, apply technology, and use terminology commonly used in contemporary practice.
