Ontario College of Art and Design undergraduate admission requirements:
1. Minimum admission requirements for undergraduate applications outside Ontario:
High school graduation
The average score of college preparatory courses is 70% or above
TOEFL 80 or IELTS 6.5 or above
2. The admission of Studio professional degree (BFA, BDes) mainly depends on the level of your portfolio. Admission to a BA (Visual and Critical Studies) degree depends on your writing samples and your high school grades. All applicants must submit a creative outline, and must meet the minimum entrance requirements above.
3. After submitting your collection of overseas art works (for students applying for BFA and BDes). Applicants can optionally participate in the portfolio assessment. (mainly in the study week of OCAD U in February of each year) or submit an electronic collection of works directly (through SlideRoom). Or submit your writing samples (BA in visual and critical research) in the same way.
4. For professional applicants who need to submit a portfolio: your portfolio content should skillfully express elements such as art, design and media. You need to prove that you are a visual communicator and that you are ready to succeed at OCADU. This includes experiments on traditional and digital media, or any combination. Please remember that the most important part of your work collection is your creative thinking ability, and whether you can use different media to express them.

Ontario College of Art and Design Graduate Admission Requirements:
Minimum admission requirements (applicants for any postgraduate major must meet the minimum admission requirements)
The official language designated by OCADU is English. When the applicant's first language is not English, the applicant needs to achieve a satisfactory score. The following are the specific language requirements and relevant specifications.
Only the language test scores completed within 12 months can be recognized by the school.
The total score of TOEFL online test shall not be less than 90, and each item shall not be less than 22 reading, 20 listening, 22 writing and 22 speaking.
The total score of IELTS is not less than 7, and each item is not less than 7.
2. Special requirements for application of each discipline
History of Contemporary Art, Design and New Media Art (MA)
Applicants must hold BFA, BDA degree, or honorary degree certificate. Undergraduate courses have an average score of 75% or above, or provide relevant experience and creation project certification of professional art field workers. If they have passed the deadline, the applicants are still interested in the postgraduate courses of contemporary art, design and new media art history. Applicants need to submit materials
Research plan: 250 words at most, clearly describe your educational or professional background and your research interests, and you can add reference books and illustrations. Writing sample: no more than 20 pages, either in the form of published text or manuscript; If it is in the form of manuscript, the full text must be collated and proofread. Design Hygiene (md)
Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in design. In addition, the average score of undergraduate courses is 75 points or above, or the relevant experience and creation project certification of professional art field workers are provided.
Applicants need to submit materials
A collection of 10 design examples and a 750 word design description.
Statement of interest: Applicants should describe their main areas of interest in the health field, explain in detail how their academic background and professional experience relate to their interests, and how their plans and research are consistent with the objectives of the plan. This suggestion must be printed out, with a length of about 750 words. Design portfolio: applicants must submit samples within 5 years. It can include visual work, analysis report, proposal document, etc. Please select your best work to submit.
Inclusive design (md)
Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree, BDes, BComm, BEng, BSc, BFA or similar honorary degree certificate. In addition, the average score of undergraduate courses is 75 points or above, or the relevant experience and creation project certification of professional art field workers are provided.

Applicants need to submit materials
Purpose statement: 1000 words. As far as possible, describe the fields you want to study in the plan, how academic background and professional experience are related to the plan, and how the expected research is consistent with the goals of the plan. A bibliography is required.
Design portfolio: applicants must submit samples within 5 years. It shall include software design, user experience design, analysis report, suggestion document, web application and website design.
Resume: Include a copy of the updated resume. Candidates on the shortlist may be invited to a conference call or interview.
Interdisciplinary Master of Arts, Media and Design (MA, MDES&MFA)
Applicants must hold BFA, BDes degree or equivalent bachelor's degree with honors, or provide relevant experience and creation project certification of workers in professional art field.
Applicants need to submit materials
Research suggestions: Applicants should clearly list their backgrounds in at least two professional fields, and describe their interdisciplinary research interests or project themes for art study abroad. One of these areas of expertise must be in studio art, media or design. It is recommended to print out at most 500 words. Appendices should include references and examples of visual works. It is strongly recommended that applicants find at least one graduate student willing to cooperate with them in their research.
Requirements for art study album: Applicants need to submit up to 15 still picture works. Quicktime movie or other video image files should not exceed three minutes in length. Try to choose the best works. The works created within 1 year shall be selected. The portfolio must be accompanied by an artist/designer statement of no more than 250 words. The statement should describe recent work and explain its relevance to research recommendations. I suggest you discuss your practical work, your existing professional knowledge, and how you can cultivate your practical ability in graduate study. The submitted work list should also be included in the portfolio.

Candidates may be notified for interview. During the interview, there is no need to create on site. The interview is an ideal opportunity for the interviewer to meet with the graduate students and discuss the project and the candidate's research suggestions. There will be different arrangements for applicants who cannot attend the interview in person.
Criticism and curation practice (MFA)
Applicants must hold BFA, BDes degree or similar honorary degree certificate, and have an average score of 80 points or above for undergraduate courses, or provide relevant experience and creative project certification of workers in the professional art field.

Research suggestion: Applicants should clearly list their learning fields and backgrounds, and describe their research interests or topics. It is recommended to print it, no more than 500 words. Appendices should include references and examples of visual works.

Requirements for admission of Chinese students to Ontario Institute of Art and Design:
Senior high school students and graduates in China;
The scores of all subjects in the three years of senior high school and the scores of all subjects in the senior high school graduation examination are more than 75 points, or: the scores of China's college entrance examination have reached the admission mark of China's undergraduate (at least three subjects);
Have artistic talent or love creation, design and painting and have considerable artistic skills; To submit
