Sculpture is a kind of plastic arts, also called sculpture, which is the general name of three creation methods of sculpture, carving and sculpture. It refers to the art of using various plastic materials or hard materials that can be carved and engraved to create a visual and tactile artistic image with a certain space to reflect social life and express the artist's aesthetic feelings, emotions and ideals. As an important branch of pure art, sculpture is highly valued in the art field. With the continuous development of art, the concept of sculpture has now used a large number of new media. Many artists who use sculpture as a medium begin to use image as the carrier of their creation. As a basic discipline, sculpture is of great importance.
There is a great demand for urban sculpture, interior decoration, environmental sculpture and other works of art to improve the urban and residential taste. The decorative sculpture specialty also shows a strong momentum of development in this context. After graduation, students can engage in urban sculpture, relief design, restoration of large museums and art galleries, project implementation of large public places, artists, etc.
Sculpture, art analysis, art history, sculpture drawing, marble and hard stone carving technology, aesthetics, casting technology, sculpture technology, graphic psychology and reception theory, etc. Elective courses include applied art and material classification, material morphology, technology and classification, digital computer model, theory and history of display methods, photography, graphic design, ceramic technology, etc. It is suggested, but not limited, that students should take the entrance of various material materials as the beginning of understanding sculpture. At the same time, it can be supplemented by the understanding and grasp of space, and the use and practice of comprehensive materials to further improve the curriculum. Of course, you can also add images and performances, or do some dynamic sculptures and installations in combination with the interaction profession.
Sculpture specialty needs to have strong spatial ability and modeling ability. How to transform from two-dimensional form to three-dimensional form is the basis. What we really want to explore is sculpture language, and sculpture is used as a medium for artistic expression.
