The undergraduate course of sculpture major in Rhode Island School of Design is a four-year program. The practice based courses and teaching methods encourage students to actively participate in cooperation and thinking in different directions through sculpture studio courses and interdisciplinary elective courses, so as to develop works with their own style.
The sculpture studio course is the main part of the undergraduate course. From the second academic year, students will focus on learning basic skills, including wood, metal, casting, performance, installation, video editing and other knowledge, as well as learning the development history of these skills.
The third grade curriculum aims to develop personal interests and expressions through the enhanced studio elective courses. This part of the course requires students to deepen their skills through specific projects on the basis of mastering concepts and using them.
In the last academic year, students will combine their skills, theoretical basis and interested directions into the creation of the final graduation works, and have the opportunity to participate in the annual art exhibition in Rhode Island to gain public appreciation.

The two-year graduate program of sculpture at Rhode Island School of Design aims to cultivate artists engaged in interdisciplinary practice based on visual and critical thinking.
