Professional courses offered by Parsons College of Design:
Ranked first in both Parsons' rankings by US News and World Report: (1) the highest proportion of international undergraduates; (2) the largest number of small classes (less than 20 students). Obtaining Parsons' degree is very challenging. On average, undergraduate and graduate students need to register for 16-18 credits or 6 courses every semester. Most students register for 20-30 courses every week, and need to spend roughly the same time as in class to prepare. Generally, all courses can be applied for, and some associate bachelor courses can also be studied part-time. Students who participate in research room discussions and critical research seminars need to think carefully and devote themselves to everyone's discussions. In short, there are many learning modes. Although the students have applied for their own majors when applying for the undergraduate degree, the real professional courses will not be conducted until the second year.
From the autumn of 2013, no matter what the major, the first year courses of all BFA freshmen are the same, which are basic courses. They prepare for the future multi-directional major selection and also cultivate students' design concepts of energy conservation and environmental protection, such as painting, making 3D models by hand, software applications and participating in art and environment discussions at the United Nations. BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) courses for business management students are similar, but there will be special requirements for related majors in the courses. Many courses will be taken with BFA students. In the first year, the course focuses on the basic skills of art design and the use of some tools. At the same time, it is flexible. From a wide range of exploration to a specific professional field, it meets the interests of most students. Students can decide their future direction by choosing courses of different categories and quantities, or they can choose to change majors in their sophomores.

Requirements for Collection of Art Studied Abroad : Upload 8-12 works through Slideroom. It can include sketch, oil painting, sculpture, photography, digital media, design, 3D works, web design, animation, video and other digital media. The work should be attached with the name, size, date and description. The uploaded works must show the applicant's personal visual presentation ability, creativity, existing skills and professional experience.
