Parsons Illustration Professional Application for Customs Clearance Script
Part 1: My parents didn't want me to study art at first
I don't have any artistic foundation. After learning how to draw for a few days, I can't even talk about painting. But I just like painting. No matter how good the painting is, I usually record some virtual characters and animals created by myself I don't know which day I would like to go abroad to study art, and I firmly want to study illustration. Not surprisingly, parents objected. Parents of this generation will think that it may be difficult to find a job in the future when choosing an art major, or they may think that learning art is just a "shortcut" when we are facing a higher education. I also spent some time to convince my parents that I hope they will see my determination and that I want to learn art simply because of my love But fortunately, my parents are reasonable and willing to understand art and the major I want to study, and see what their daughter really likes.
Slowly, I was also infected by my persistence and enthusiasm. The change from opposition to encouragement was quite fast. Later, my parents were very supportive and even provided some academic help. In fact, my mother is half an insider in the art circle. She studies architectural design and has some understanding of art. During my study, she knew that where there were powerful art exhibitions, she would want to take me to see them. Last time I heard that there was a Rembrandt exhibition in Beijing, she took me from Shanghai to see them; My father, too, often gave me some interesting suggestions during my collection of works, which were quite useful
Part 2: I have confirmed that Prasons is the dream school I am looking for
I haven't been studying natural light for long. I spent 4 months on basic courses and 6 months on the creation of professional illustration works. At first, I struggled for some time in order to set a target school. Later, I thought about going to the school directly. So in the summer vacation, my parents accompanied me to New York. At that time, we almost transferred all the colleges and universities in New York Parsons School of Design Parsons, Rhode Island School of Design RISD, Pratt School of Art, etc. I also participated in school tours and open days.

Parsons Campus is located on Fifth Avenue in New York City
After a trip, my favorite is Parsons School of Design and Pratt School of Art (hee hee, I got offers from both schools). Parsons campus is in the center of New York City, with good environment and many opportunities. The whole campus seems to have a very artistic atmosphere.

Parsons Open day
After I came back, I firmly set my goal. Parsons is the dream school I am looking for! Here, I also want to tell you that when students are doing college research, they can go to the school if they have the opportunity, or carefully browse the official website to see the curriculum, student works or teacher introductions;
Try to learn about colleges and universities from these official channels. Don't be easily influenced by the opinions of some UP owners or institutions. Their opinions are subjective and personal. Believe in your own choice. I think teachers of natural light do a good job. They just give us the autonomy to choose colleges and universities and majors, and give us objective opinions, Only as a student supporter and companion.
Part 3: All my works are "bereaved"
Let me talk about the creation process of my professional works collection of Parsons' illustration. I have done six projects before and after (Rhode Island is still applying, so it is not convenient to show you the works collection first~)
Although I am optimistic, my creative style is very sad. What can inspire me is all negative things, which is also something I was worried about at the beginning.
Later, I asked my own professional teachers and college admissions officers, but they encouraged me: the theme or value of the project is not the most important, but to express what you want to express and what you can express, which is good enough creation.

Yingduo's Parsons' professional artwork project
The whole set of works, one of my favorite works is a set of three-dimensional Scene illustration , describing the process of growth. When we were young, we were innocent and dared to express, but when we grow up, we are inevitably affected by many things, and even do many unwilling things for some interests.
I'm 18 years old now, and I'm just in the process. But I hope I can stick to my original intention in the future, and be more loyal to my own inner decisions when making choices. This is my original intention of creating this group of works.
There are many more comprehensive and interdisciplinary projects in my professional works of Parsons illustration, which is also the creative direction that my professional teachers and I have been discussing. One of them is a mermaid sculpture, which I think is the most difficult.
Because I am not good at this kind of manual work, but I want to use more three-dimensional things to express my ideas and prove that this thing is real from the physical level. So in this process, professional teachers helped me a lot.
At first, he helped me find a lot of professional books on sculpture, and accompanied me to learn from He Ni In the process, he also gave me a lot of useful suggestions. Because my work is not delicate but I want to pursue a realistic feeling, the teacher suggested that I use different materials to enrich the texture and make up for the lack of some details. Finally, the completion of this group of sculptures is very high.
My work by Parsons chlallenge is about the theme of "freedom of speech", which is extended from the first item in my work collection. My first work is also about the freedom of women's reproduction. I exchanged propylene for a group of illustrations, describing a historical event.
Part 4: It's very interesting to have classes in natural light
It's very interesting to have classes in natural light. Not only the form of classes, but also the teachers and students I meet often give me unexpected surprises. For example, the professional teacher always emphasizes "interdisciplinary thinking" with me. He often shows me some artists' works or some materials he collects, which are forms I can't imagine being able to use for creation and inspire me a lot.

Yingduo once participated in the workshop "The plane is extraordinary"
I remember one time, a Illustration Design Study Abroad The supervisor of the collection also taught me to try to draw with my left hand, hoping that I could break away from my past rules and dare to try different things in this way.
In natural light, there are also some excellent students in different majors. We will also encounter different sparks in the process of class and chat together.
I had a project about "bananas", which was inspired by a chat with a classmate. At first, my idea was to paste some paper with words on the banana, and then use a blender or something to destroy it, but in fact, it was difficult to operate and not very beautiful
Later, my classmates told me that the font would disappear if you didn't have to do anything, which inspired me. In the end, my creation was to write the characters on the banana with a black signature pen, and then put them on the ground. Every day, the banana slowly became completely black, and all the characters on it would be invisible.
Part 5: Finally, let me give you some secret scripts I summarized~
I participated in the creative coaching process of Parsons' illustration specialty in natural light, and whenever I had time, I would go to some workshops and the admissions officer for review. I thought it was really helpful to get in touch with different professional teachers' creative design methods;
In addition, I have participated in two Parsons admissions officer review activities, one in New York and the other in natural light. I even think it is "unspeakable" for me to get a Parsons offer. First, of course, the teacher will give you some targeted suggestions in professional terms, and I can make appropriate adjustments; Secondly, it's also a "familiar look", because every time you need to register your personal information with the admissions officer before the interview, you always feel that the admissions officer will pay attention to you when the final review of the portfolio. Of course, this is just my personal opinion. If you want to have a try, you can tell me if it is really useful.
Finally, I carefully summarize the application for studying abroad in Parsons' illustration major. In my understanding, the enrollment focus of Parsons' illustration major will be on three points: first, Story Telling is the narrative nature of your works, and second, the use of mixed material comprehensive materials or interdisciplinary; The third point is Focus your heart, express what you want to express! In the process of creating a collection of works, we must have true feelings and not be perfunctory. The meaning of "hard work" cannot be simply spent time, but also needs to really spend time to ponder and think, so that we can make something with content, and can also be called a real effort.
