Recently, there was a natural documentary named as a masterpiece. Our Planet has been to 60 countries for 4 years. Every natural wonder it recorded has a grandeur that we have never seen before. In the latest issue, we talked about the collapse of icebergs. Because of climate warming, the icebergs in the north and south poles are collapsing at twice the normal speed, which has seriously damaged the ecological balance, and the polar animals are facing an unprecedented crisis. This documentary is not only to show us the miracle of nature, but also to remind us of what we are losing and what we can do about the world? Now the environmental protection theme workshop of the art collection is to save "our iceberg"!

Natural light × continuous anti YING

Promote the cooperation between environmental protection and public welfare undertakings to upgrade again! This time, we use the workshop's Portfolio Coaching Form, let art lovers make their own "icebergs" with recycled materials and 3D printing technology. Understand the importance of environmental protection from the creation process of this "artwork", and gain advanced knowledge of art and technology.

It is not the first time for natural light to combine environmental protection with workshop in art works collection. Whether it is "old clothes transformation" or "making sounds for animals", we all hope to guide students with practical actions to bring the eternal topic of ecological protection to all aspects of works and life.

Just because of the same idea and expectation, natural light and continuous anti YING work together again to provide art lovers with a public benefit activity that uses art to voice and practice to commit to environmental protection!

Our iceberg

The name of the course is - our iceberg, climate warming, iceberg melting, it is human activities that have destroyed the ecological balance, and this time we need to do something for the disappearing iceberg.

This activity lasts for two days, and is divided into two workshops according to the different materials used. The first day's theme is plants, such as immortal flowers, hay, etc. The second day's theme is domestic waste, such as recycled paper, newspapers, hay, and waste cloth.

Participants use these common waste materials as the material of their works, integrate them into the transparent soap base according to their own creativity, and then pour them into the iceberg mold formed by 3D printing to customize their own unique "iceberg".

As a product of the rapid development of modern science and technology, 3D printing technology is widely used in product design with its advantages of rapid prototyping. In the art field, digital media form of installation art is also increasing. This time, we can also learn about the process of art installation production under the new technology in the teacher's explanation.

We use modern technology to make an artistic display of waste materials in our life. It seems to have no practical value, but it is full of profound meaning. We would like to borrow this iceberg themed artwork and the activity itself, and call on everyone to act for the common ecological crisis of mankind from daily life!

　　 -Top artists create together-

During the event, during the continuous anti YING art exhibition, more than 30 top artists at home and abroad were invited to create in the local area, and they used different art forms such as installation, image, sculpture, behavior, photography and so on to speak together for the issue of environmental protection.

The inspiration for our activities is generated in this context. We will work together with artists to create, share places and resources, and have the opportunity to witness the creation process of these works of art.

　　 -New attempt of new materials and new media-

This workshop is a new attempt in terms of theme, materials and means of expression. In terms of theme, we chose the specific image of iceberg in the global warming environment, and gave participants a lot of creative space with its unique visual graphics;

Application of COS × Mamou Mani 3D Printing in Installation Art

In terms of materials, we allow participants to add any desired waste materials into the soluble soap base (the original material of soap), which is also a reminder that icebergs are slowly melting and dying around us;

In addition to our hand work ability, we have also innovatively added 3D printing technology. Teachers will also explain how to use high technology to participate in artistic creation and gain professional knowledge of art and technology through the iceberg mold that has been made by 3D printing.

"Environmental protection" is a global issue that everyone is concerned about, and it is also a source of inspiration for our artistic creation. This art experiment on environmental protection can help us to try the diversity of artistic expression in practice, closely connect with the theme of contemporary society, and create works of art that are truly common and appealing.

Miss Liu

Teacher Liu graduated from the United States Art Institute of Chicago Architecture major, obtaining high scholarship. In addition to architectural courses, I also studied multimedia product design courses in school. He is good at artistic expression of architectural drawings, and his final works were exhibited in school. Teacher Liu has received offers from UCLA, USC, Sci arc and other well-known universities for master's programs. Participated in the large-scale indoor space renovation project in a well-known architectural firm in Beijing, independently completed part of the design and has been completed.
