Q: Briefly introduce ⼀⾃⼰⼰, and what are the unique experiences of ⾃⼰⽐?
I am an undergraduate majoring in advertising in Southwest Jiaotong University, and now I have got SVA Fashion Studying abroad in photography 's offer. The most unique experience for me is that I am an interdisciplinary application student, which is very challenging for me, but with the help of the natural light art collection training online, I got the offer of my favorite university.
Q: Have your art study application and portfolio been affected by these experiences?
Sure. If I didn't get into the natural light, I would never get an offer. Because I am also a procrastinator at ordinary times, and I finished my collection of works on time and in high quality under the supervision of my teacher.
Q: How long did you study in natural light? Have you ever taken basic courses?
About two years, I have taken basic courses.

My portfolio includes five projects:
1. The foundation of Chinese society is heterosexual family, which is a patriarchal society. The family is a place to relax and do not need to hide their own place, but under this social condition in China, LGBTQ groups still need to hide their identity at home. The inspiration comes from many LGBTQ group friends around me, who often talk about how to come out to their families and fear that their parents will know they are LGBTQ groups. I think this is not a phenomenon that should appear in the 21st century, so I will discuss the existence of this phenomenon through this group of works.
2. GOOD FOR NOTHING BUT SHADE Among today's Chinese young people, a large part of them are still under the control of their parents. These young people have accepted their parents' choices and arrangements in terms of study, work, marriage, etc. Maybe they are dissatisfied with this arrangement, but they have no ideas of their own, so they have to continue. When people think of something they don't like, they choose to escape. This kind of escape is not to refuse the arrangement of parents and make your own choice, but to avoid conflicts and find a chance to escape from reality for a moment when you realize that there is a conflict between yourself and your parents. The arrangement of parents can only provide shade, but can not provide nutrients. If you always escape from conflicts in the shade, you will never get nutrients outside the shade.
Inspired by my high school deskmate, she is a good friend of mine. She can go to a good 211 university as I did in the college entrance examination, but she finally chose a local normal university. I was puzzled and went to ask her. She gave me the answer because her parents thought that girls should not be too far away from home, and that being a teacher was stable and suitable for girls. I asked her what you thought. She said that she had no idea, so she listened to her parents' arrangements. Later, I also encountered many similar things, but this event made me unforgettable, so I created this work.
3. The little mind of adolescence is a commercial film of earrings. 4. Agender is a commercial film with gender free theme. 5. The last project of Aging is a commercial film with the theme of aging. (It was completed in cooperation with a student of fashion design from Natural Light.).
Q: Which item do you like best? What is the source of inspiration?
I like Agender best. For me, this project is a breakthrough project. It is a theme I have never tried before.
The inspiration comes from the fact that gender diversity seems to be a very obscure and even taboo word in China, as well as in the field of fashion photography in China. Mainstream media hardly discuss gender issues. Independent media have begun to discuss gender issues gradually, but I think it is far from enough. The field of fashion photography is largely dominated by gender roles and conventional gender expectations. These gender issues, which have never been seriously discussed, also duplicate gender stereotypes while strengthening the binary separation of gender.
In the mainstream media of fashion photography in China, women who are cute, slim, and conform to the aesthetic standards of the public or men who are tall, powerful, and authoritative are often seen. In the independent media of fashion photography, we can see the exploration of independent photographers, but most of them cover cross dressing or gender equality. Images can strengthen narrow gender roles, which shackle all of us - girls and boys, men and women, and those who do not identify with these categories.
My agender series tries to break gender prejudice and conventional cognition. In this work, there is no gender, not men wearing women's clothes or women wearing men's clothes. Gender in this world is not just men and women. Gender free doctrine may be interpreted as borderless doctrine, because its essence is an attitude that breaks the inherent boundaries. The most important fashion appeal of this era is to take off the inherent label and express your individuality and individual opinions outside the framework.
Q: Why choose the art collection training line for class?
Since I worked in Shenzhen after graduation, and my teacher is in the UK, I can only choose online classes.
Q: Is there any difference between online class experience and offline class experience?
Because I have taught online and offline with the same teacher, I think my feelings are more accurate. It can be said that there is no difference. The teacher will talk more carefully online and ensure you understand every detail. Facts have proved that online classes have no impact on the progress and quality of my portfolio.
Q: What difficulties have you encountered in the portfolio course? How did the teacher help you solve the problem?
What is more difficult should be some problems in typesetting, but the teacher will slowly adjust bit by bit through screen sharing and help me a lot.
Q: What do you think is the most important thing in the art collection training line?
I think the most important thing in online class is to communicate patiently. We must be patient enough to buckle up every detail with the teacher.
Q: What are the differences between classes in natural light and classes in other places?
The natural light is a very open and free place, and it will not restrict you a lot. For example, if you have questions, you can ask some teachers in other majors. All teachers are willing to help students.
Q: Have you ever participated in online/offline activities of natural light?
Because my dream school is SVA, I had previously invited the SVA admissions officer to visit the organization to open a workshop activity to learn about natural light. This is the first time I met Kara. She told me a lot about all aspects of SVA, which gave me a fuller understanding of the school.
Then there was a summer course for Kara. I learned that this project could give me a chance to get her recommendation letters and learn some good creative methods, so I immediately signed up for it. Also in the course, she taught me a lot of new creative methods and creative thinking, and we gradually became friends. At the end of the course, I was very excited to hear that the teacher had promised to write a recommendation letter to me. On the last day, she also said that she would write a letter of recommendation to me, hoping that I would show her my next collection of works, and she would give me some suggestions. I think that I can get an offer from SVA is also related to this recommendation letter.
