In the interview, he also mentioned that "since the remote teaching, many students have begun to seriously discuss with him the thinking of art and future development planning during the isolation period, which makes me feel more gratified for the past habit of relying on the guidance of teachers and laboratory tools, and instead of thinking by working hard."

Rachel Kim, a student majoring in graphic design, drew inspiration from a large number of media images and created the video work "Communication" about COVID-19's amazing propagation speed.
"This phenomenon is more common among graduate students. In the works created according to the epidemic situation, it is obvious that students associate the practice in the field of visual design and the current world environment. In this form, it is very meaningful for the development of the industry to see the change of students' style and the reflective and forward-looking theme." 。

Sheri Wills, the discipline leader, believes that compared with other art disciplines, the tools and forms used in dynamic imaging disciplines can be more easily converted to the remote mode. The only problem is that ordinary laptops are unable to handle the super large files commonly used by FAV students.
Therefore, in the creation of students, the teacher also suggested that students who work at home should try not to use high-end cameras and other special devices, and can combine smart phones with hand drawn and flat images to tell their own stories.

Animation lecturer Gina Kamentsky also developed a solution in the teaching process: she called it "Smart Animator Cheap Mobile Bracket", which is a convenient tool made of cardboard DIY, and can carry mobile phones to move in parallel or vertically during shooting.

The teacher also made her production process into a PDF tutorial (including images, hand drawings and small videos), which was widely used by RISD students around the world. Gina said, "With the simplest tools, we can still make meaningful works of art, which is also conducive to grasping the really important parts in the creation process."
