   Art Management (Minor)


All creative work has a business side. The art management minor at Columbia College in Chicago introduces you to the management, financial and organizational skills needed to manage an individual, business or organizational art career.


   Visual Arts Management (Minor)


The minor in visual arts management will strengthen your management and entrepreneurial skills, with an emphasis on visual arts. This tune will introduce how you manage your artist career, or manage and plan exhibitions, run galleries, or work in museums, auction houses or non-profit art organizations.

   Master of Arts Management


Degree duration: two years (48 credits)


Columbia University Chicago's full-time, two-year Master of Arts Management program will inspire your career in the creative industry. It is designed for art and entertainment professionals who need advanced business skills and artists who want to take the next step in Entrepreneurship. You will learn financial, legal, organizational and strategic concepts in an artistic and entertainment environment. You will also participate in specialized professions to support your personal interests in profit or non-profit management. Graduates of the Colombian Master of Arts Management will continue to lead organizations in areas such as live performance, music business, drama, marketing, visual arts, public participation, and community service.


In this selective art management graduate program, you will learn in a team environment with colleagues from all over the world, build relationships, and lay the foundation for your professional network. You will receive the individual attention of our famous and successful art management personnel and artist academy. You will gain practical experience in the project discipline centering on gallery management, music recording, publishing and distribution, on-site event management and film and television execution and production.

Columbia College in Chicago encourages you to upload an art management portfolio to show your professional and creative work related to art and art management. This work may include links to your professional websites, links to organizations you work with, and examples of creative and professional practices, such as performance, design, photos, composition, business or marketing plans, recordings, and videos.
