How to apply for the New England Conservatory of Music? Today, I would like to introduce how to apply for the New England Conservatory of Music and what materials are needed. Undergraduate applicants should show a high level of performance and have the potential to grow into music artists. Graduation from an accredited secondary school (or equivalent) is a prerequisite for admission. Home schooling applicants must submit records indicating that they will complete high school equivalent studies in accordance with the home schooling laws of their state of residence.
New England Conservatory of Music Admission Conditions ：
As stated in the "audition requirements" of the New England Conservatory of Music, most professional applicants will submit recorded video auditions (or collections of works of composers, theoretical and musicological applicants). There will be no live auditions on NEC's campus. Only violin, viola and cello applicants need to be pre screened. Applicants for the artist's diploma, doctor of music and art and Harvard University/NEC double degree program may be required to contact in February for follow-up on-site interviews and auditions, but all other applicants will conduct music assessment based on recorded auditions. (or portfolio).
In order to give applicants the necessary time to submit recorded auditions, the deadline for applications for most majors in the fall of 2021 is January 8, 2021. Applicants for violin, viola, cello and timbre must submit their applications before December 1, 2020.
