        How to apply for the School of Music of Washington University?

Applying to the Conservatory of Music is a two-step process: first, you must apply to the University of Washington, and second, you must participate in the audition of the Conservatory of Music.

　　 Audition at Washington University School of Music:

For all degrees other than ethnomusicology and composition (required for compulsory private courses), students must pass entrance examinations on their main musical instruments. After submitting your application to UW, you can request to participate in the audition. Please do the following to submit your request:

Prepare auditions for instruments.

Your live performance audition will be limited to 10 to 15 minutes, including admission, performance and exit.

Sign up for a live audition or submit a digital audition. It is strongly recommended that you attend the audition in person, but if you cannot attend the live audition of the Conservatory of Music, you can choose to conduct the audition through video. Please note that on-site audition registration will be closed two weeks before the audition date. The video audition is only applicable to the winter audition and should be closed on January 31.
