The summer course of training and coaching of the Natural Light Works Collection spans six campuses, and the "Overseas Alliance Summer Course" of nine high-ranking admissions officers, professors and designers has pressed the pause button. In the past two months, we have designed clothing with the concept of sculpture, and focused on space with the idea of creative human body sketching, making graphic works more three-dimensional, Dig out the waste materials to create an amazing new design, and wear strange clothes to invade the studio, so that strange ideas can fill the brain hole that can't see the boundary.

More than 168 hours of high-density teaching interaction and the comprehensive experience of art combined with nearly 20 majors have driven the natural light in 6 campuses and overseas campuses across the country, filling July and August with summer like enthusiasm!

From the admission courses taught by Professor RISD in person, to the application assistance experience brought by the former admissions officers of multiple schools, and then to the 1v1, hours of work collection review, we broke through the fixed restrictions of thinking and ideas, and redefined the meaning of creative awareness and hands-on practice.

Looking back the whole July and August, we received feedback and encouragement from many students. A set of interdisciplinary works that can be included in the work collection is harvest. The experience of "innovation" and "association" is an invisible empowerment connecting the future.

Eight days Summer Course, five professors+admissions officers+artists/designers, four intersecting professional modules, a mini "fashion circle" new ecological experience, a piece of independent creation that can be included in the collection, organic creation forms combined with recycled materials, explore the "new" definition of "sustainable development" clothing, from the original concept to plate making design, Finally, we will produce ready to wear clothes, shoot finished products, combine the pure art concept of sculpture dimension, and apply non-traditional and divergent innovative materials to create a garment that breaks through professional and thinking restrictions.

Student A: The biggest impression of Fashion 360 is "innovation" and "association". The first day of the course started from the moodboard, an abstract concept of "organic matter" to collect inspiration, and then slowly locked to a point, and then implemented on clothing. The whole process was from scratch, step by step. The teacher kept giving advice in the course to help us to make the presentation of design more diverse. In the next few days, a kind of material is used to process or reassemble into a dress. The more diversified materials, from paper to stick or filter paper, "the cloth is more challenging. Under the guidance of Megan and David, the dress becomes more vivid and interesting. The last two days of modeling photography classes are more colorful for the finished products of the last few days. With the help of the modeling teacher's interesting combination and varied combination of photography, we not only mastered the basic photography knowledge, but also got the happiness of team cooperation.

Student B: At the end of July, I attended the Fashion 360 summer course in Natural Light Shanghai Campus, and I learned a lot in the eight days of course. The workshop brought by the four foreign teachers made me experience the feeling of studying abroad in advance. The students helped each other and learned from each other. The overall learning atmosphere was very good. What impressed me most was the third day of study. Parsons' teacher took us to make a dress with different materials in a very short time. This is something I have never tried before. After this course, I not only completed my own work, but also challenged myself. This course has benefited me a lot. I am very happy to participate in this course.

Student C: I think what impressed me most was the shooting of the last day and the design of the first day. This was my first serious contact with clothing. I had not started the collection of works before this class, so this class took me to understand the operation of the whole fashion industry, from the source of inspiration to the final clothing shooting. This lesson also let me know other parts of the clothing industry. Especially in the industry of stylists, I have a new understanding of stylists and the importance of stylists in the shooting process.

Student D: I learned a lot in this Fashion 360 course. I recognized students of different ages and majors, but we all share the same goal and are enthusiastic about fashion design. The teacher asked us to start from the familiar things in life and spread our thinking. Although it is challenging for me to design a simple T-shirt, shirt, paper or a small part repeatedly, I enjoy the whole design process. Finally, I was very impressed by the photography class, where everyone wore clothes designed by each other, matched with interesting makeup and accessories, and then went to the final photography. These processes are really interesting. Although it is only a few days, some suggestions from the teacher in the course let me discover the infinite possibilities of creativity and gain a lot.

Student E: In the last two days of the course, beautiful Annie and cool Liz targeted our creation in the first six days of the course. Starting from photography, we carefully run through the photographic content of fashion publications, and combine fashion marketing to shoot fashion blockbusters that can be used for the presentation of works.

Combined with the construction of natural light+artificial light source, we learned to show the charm of our works and highlight the fashion concept of works through photography and dynamic images. It's also fun to put on clothes and shoot each other. This is also an opportunity for us to learn the other side of fashion - fashion photography, plastic arts, fashion publications! Fashion design is not just clothing design!

The eight day activity of the admissions officer has ended. From the beginning, I was nervous and did not know how to make a skirt, to clear my direction and make what I wanted, I could not do without the careful guidance of my tutor, as well as the help of the teachers and students of natural light.

In the past eight days, there have been tiredness of going out of the building only after one fiber was fixed at one o'clock in the morning, pleasure of singing Taylor songs with David while making clothes, and satisfaction of being an interdisciplinary beginner who has answered all kinds of questions about fashion design. The arrangement of these eight days is not just the design of traditional clothes, which makes me very excited. These days of creation and exploration, sculpture is no longer the traditional sense of pinching and matching, clothing is no longer the traditional sense of sewing and weaving, and performance is no longer the original definition of behavior, which benefits a lot.

Student A: Taking part in the three-day space dynamics workshop has changed my impression of traditional sculpture. The content explained and displayed in the class has made me better understand the different styles of design and appreciate many excellent works. These works broaden my mind and broaden my horizon.

In addition, the production and evaluation of sculptures also let me know the shortcomings of my own ideas. When observing the works of other students, I saw many new ideas and practices, which also inspired me in the later creation process.

Student B: Teacher Kara's class has helped me a lot. She asked us to think about problems in a certain time and find out what we want to do. In this way, my brain starts to think immediately after receiving instructions, and soon has the inspiration to do something.

Kara told us not to give ourselves too much time to worry, otherwise nothing can be done. Another sentence that impressed me is that the last five minutes are very important. You should use the last time to make your work have a good ending. Those five minutes can often change the quality of a work.

Student C: I took the course of Admissions Officer of Space Dynamics, which is my first attempt to build a device. I used various materials to reflect some problems or express myself, and learned a lot. Through hands-on practice, I learned more about the relationship between space and color, expanded my vision through the research process, and opened up different ideas from what I had learned in the past.

The teachers and students are very friendly and have met students from different professional backgrounds. The only regret is that their language is weak and it is not convenient to communicate with teachers. But on the whole, I am very happy to know different partners, and also very happy to produce works with three intentions.
