Royal Danish Academy of Arts Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts )Founded in 1754, it is located in Copenhagen. Among higher education institutions in Denmark, only the Visual Arts School of the Royal Danish Academy of Arts can teach art practice, theoretical education and technical training together. As a higher education institution, the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, the Academy of Architecture, Design and Conservation (KADK) is tasked with providing art and academic education in architecture, design, conservation and restoration, while promoting the development and encouraging research in the fields of architecture, design, craftsmanship, conservation and restoration.

The Royal Danish Academy of Arts is composed of three schools: Arkitektskole, Designskole and Konservatorskole. Some disciplines are affiliated to two colleges at the same time.


Today, the school's Academy of Fine Arts has 200 students and 50 teaching staff, of which 22 are artists or academic teachers. Most of the teachers of the education committee are artists active in visual art exhibitions, many of whom have international backgrounds. In addition, a large number of artists and academic experts from home and abroad to the school will hold lectures, set up studios and visit major studios in the school. In the process of urban construction and urban transformation, people attach great importance to the appearance and interior design of architectural works, but often ignore the coordination between architecture and urban landscape. Many historical environments have been destroyed, urban characteristics are disappearing, and urban landscape has become disordered. Learning this major should understand that its main purpose is to achieve harmony between urban landscape and architecture.

The following fields are the focus of the department: urban architecture, residential planning, urban planning, landscape planning, garden design, urban theory and urban transformation.

Scholars taking master's courses need to have a certain sense of responsibility and knowledge conservation. The bachelor's program is designed to teach students the understanding and related methods of architecture.


Architecture, construction and buildings (BFA&MFA)


The professional content can be summarized as the correlation between urban buildings and buildings. The course focuses on the understanding of spatial spacing across multiple scales, and explores the relationship between structure and elements, procedures and processes. Combined with planning parameters, architectural strategies and spatial reports, the complex urban structure is integrated with home life, working environment and leisure activities to build a reasonable structure.

The department is mainly committed to developing a timely creative process on an orderly basis. The focus of the course requires students to have the ability to deal with opinions and problems, which are respectively the acquisition of analytical tools, working methods, professional knowledge and skills. Space Art Media


4-year full-time, this major develops artistic thinking based on the concept of time, and outlines the concept using 3D development.

Oil Painting


One and a half years full-time, starting in autumn, the main teaching idea of this course is the creation of oil painting and the study of art theory.
