The New York Institute of Interior Design is a school with only classroom design. Its professional style is more commercialized. Basic Interior Design (Bid) Certificate Procedure: No entry of works is required.


Interior design portfolio includes 10-15 pieces of works Personal portfolio must include works based on art, including still life sketch, sculpture, landscape, portrait, character research and rendering of interior space. If possible, hand drawn sketches should be submitted. Personal portfolio format is JPG or PDF. Make full use of color, proportion and perspective should be obvious.

   Regulations on Postgraduate Portfolio


The interior design portfolio must include 15 works, and the portfolio must reflect professional interior design ability. According to different majors, the requirements for different collections of works are also different.


MFA-2 and MPS programs: a combination of at least 15 design works showing professional design skills.


Master of Fine Arts Professional Level (MFA-1): Applicants can choose whether to apply for a collection of works. If a portfolio is submitted, the above guidelines for AAS and BFA projects should be followed. Applicants who have no portfolio or whose portfolio does not meet the admission guidelines must complete a two-week workshop during the summer vacation if admitted.
