Comparative Literature and Cinema (Comparative Literature and Film Studies BA)
The course is divided into two themes. The literature course aims to introduce students to the relationship between literature and pure art, music, popular culture and film. Learn literature from a comparative perspective, and explore literary themes, styles, trends and cross-cultural literary works.
The film course covers aesthetics and film history of major countries in the United States, Latin America and Europe, and introduces students to major film theories and the development of film science. Students can choose literature or film as their main learning content in one academic year, and then have the opportunity to participate in a research project integrating literature and film.

Film and French (Film Studies and French BA)
Cinematology is an interdisciplinary major. Learning different genres and styles of films, and films in different periods and countries is the core of this course. Film students will spend a lot of time watching movies, reading/writing scripts. Students will gain experience from the practice mode, deeply understand the roles of producers, directors, screenwriters and actors, and gain keen insight into the film industry. Film learning is an introductory subject for visual aesthetics, narrative and film technology learning. At the same time, students can learn history, politics, philosophy and performance technology through film science.
The film course covers aesthetics and film history of major countries in the United States, Latin America and Europe, and introduces students to major film theories and the development of film science. At the same time, students will learn German, and they will learn and analyze the film text in the German cultural background. The first year of basic courses focuses on linguistics, literature and culture. The second and final year of the course will be more in-depth, covering literary and gender studies, media and historical concepts. Students can also choose professional language courses to acquire linguistic knowledge related to German films. In the third year, students will study in a German speaking country. Students can choose to study in other universities or work as assistants in German.

Cinematology is an interdisciplinary major. Learning different genres and styles of films, and films in different periods and countries is the core of this course. Film students will spend a lot of time watching movies, reading/writing scripts. Students will gain experience from the practice mode, deeply understand the roles of producers, directors, screenwriters and actors, and gain keen insight into the film industry. Film learning is an introductory subject for visual aesthetics, narrative and film technology learning. At the same time, students can learn history, politics, philosophy and performance technology through film science.

This course combines film science with the history of the United States, Britain and Europe, and pays special attention to the film culture of Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United States in the 20th century.
