London Fashion College LCF-Y é - y é Pop Culture
This is a new topic for MA Fashion Cultures this year. It was brought by Linda Mora Curtis, a visiting professor of LCF, a French pop culture historian. The inspiration she chose for the class came from a music style Y é - y é, which was popular in French art circles in the 1960s.
Y é - y é was initiated by a group of young European female singers in the 1960s. Their music style was witty and natural, which demonstrated the desire of women in that era to break away from social constraints.

Linda led the students to extract some specific design elements through the analysis of singer records in that period, such as red, white and blue representing "French", wood representing men, daisies representing women, etc., to help students explore the popular characteristics of this style and how to express the natural appeal from specific details.

Central Saint Martin College of Art and Design - Social pressure
This is a workshop topic of Saint Martin's jewelry major undergraduate. The topic is inspired by the social pressure we face in the process of growing up. In view of the negative psychological impact of the pressure we suffer from at the social level, this topic is to hope that we can break the shackles and actively face questions through our own jewelry works.

In the topic, we also analyzed the works of artists such as Ivey and Dragset, and explained the role of their works in expressing people's uncomfortable feelings? And under the appearance of exquisite jewelry, how should we connect it with daily items.

Sportswear Design Workshop
Central Saint Martin College of Art - Sportswear Design
This is a course theme of this year's clothing design summer course of Saint Martin, which focuses on sportswear design. Sports theme has more and more influence in contemporary fashion. In this course, students will understand, design and develop four different series of sports clothes.
Contemporary sportswear is divided into different fields through functionality, high street brands and high-end brands. The course will design and develop four appearances in the form of small teams according to these three different fields, two of which need to be designed into ready to wear.

Course results
This course lasts for one week. Through this process, the teacher will also lead students to master a series of complete processes such as hand painting, fabric selection, clothing structure and pattern printing technology, so as to help students have a basic practical understanding of sports clothing series.

Student works
In the course, the teacher will help us to inspire ideas and record them, and then the students will learn how to quickly find inspiration and visualize our concept map by simply using model hangers to make cloth and needle threads.
Students use a single cloth to twist, fold, sew and layer until a garment is finished. After that, students need to take their own photos of the garment, which will be displayed as the work of the course.

Hospital Art Collection
CSM Saint Martin: perfume design for hospitals
A group of graduate students from Saint Martin's School of Art and Design and the London School of Media have set up a studio called "on the menu", which is dedicated to reducing the inequality of medical services. They recently cooperated with a British rehabilitation hospital to design a series of perfumes for patients with brain injury in the hospital, hoping to improve their mental health through olfactory stimulation.
Before the activity, students went to the hospital to fully communicate with patients and doctors, understand everyone's stories and memories, and help them understand the relationship between smell and art.
After that, the students designed four perfumes, including the retro fragrance imitating the dance hall in the 1970s and the smell of mixing soil and plants in the countryside. The students of fashion management also designed the name and packaging for this series of perfumes, which were loved by patients and preserved as art collections in hospitals.

In this course, students will learn the basic principles of advanced customized embroidery technology and their practical methods in brands. Students can use transparent silk or white yarn to practice on the drum frame at the beginning, and then use pearl embroidery, gold wire and metal for decoration. Parsons School of Design Parsons - Design "Music" Clothing with Technology
Parsons College of Fashion Design has a rich interdisciplinary tradition. This studio course is to design how to play orchestral music with costumes in cooperation with the students of Mannes College of Music and the music director of Symphony Orchestra Symphony Orchestra.

In this course of combining fashion and technology, Parsons students used recyclable rechargeable batteries and liquid screens as clothing fabrics. These new technologies exceeded the limits of material performance and visually presented the original music works of Mannes College students.
They use a classic black dress of symphony as the prototype, project it onto the dress with bright geometric shapes, and dance with the music played by the performers wearing them. The black and white color blocks represent the keys of the pianist. With the arrival of the drum, the green sphere and the red triangle begin to beat with the rhythm.

London Fashion College LCF - a fashion club for young people
LCF has a 9-week Fashion&Business Saturday Club plan every year. They are cooperating with the British Fashion Association to provide free fashion learning opportunities for young people who like fashion.
