Central Saint Martin Animation character design aims to develop creativity and skills. Learning animation is not just about learning software. Its core is to understand the portrayal of action, character personality and performance. Our practical teaching methods focus on creating innovative animated characters with subtle emotions and psychology. Based on animation, the course includes action analysis, from the simplest bouncing ball technique to animal action, human action and speech performance.
The course will expand students' existing knowledge and understanding and apply them to emerging areas of professional practice. Students need to record the process of the whole course and the creation process of their works through blogs. Animators need a variety of professional skills, and courses encourage the accumulation of experience by completing projects such as problem solving, project management, planning and media independently or jointly.

Creative development refers to ideas that originate from your own experience and research and move towards potential visual proposals. Ideas, visual research and experiments are more important than finished design solutions, which can be displayed in 2D works or through 3D objects and models. It is important that your creative work reflects and demonstrates your thinking, initiative and personal commitment to a particular project, theme or idea. We are interested in you, your personal interest, your creativity and initiative in finding a learning field. We also want to know your favorite designers and artists, where you see their works, and how you get more information about the works you are interested in.
