　　 "Campus learning is really boring, and modeling class awakened me."

I just entered Sichuan Communication University, and I was excited for a period of time in the new environment from high school to university. Then I felt boring. The course of film learning is not as interesting as I thought. It is miscellaneous and boring. In addition to staying at home to watch movies and movies, and going out to take photos, the rest of the time is confused.

Then in my sophomore year, I learned modeling in class. I just found that 3D modeling is very interesting! I have a great interest in this technical work. Such simple things as points, lines and planes can be changed in such a complex way. In modeling, I can devote all my patience to research and explore. I began to think and try. With the continuous completion of the model, after seeing my progress in this area, my confidence has also continued to rise.

And most importantly, I found my future direction!

What do 3d animation modelers learn

　　 "I created a world by opening the big scene challenge."

I have determined that I want to study abroad, After learning about natural light, it took six months from the birth of ideas to the composition of works. In fact, when I first started to prepare, I always felt that my innovation ability was particularly weak and lacked ideas. Fortunately, the teacher of natural light gave me a lot of directions in my early conception, and the teacher was also good at making special effects. In order to show my scene better, he gave me a lot of guidance. It is not to teach me how to do it hand in hand, but to let me spread my artistic ideas more.

The first scene project in my work collection is a big world. The subject is a huge tree . With reference to the settings of films such as Broken Head Valley, Black Mirror, Humans, etc., a dystopian world has been created from the perspective of environment.

In my world, human beings waste resources all the time. Trees lack nutrients and can only grow with artificial fertilizers, which leads to the continuous disappearance of people. In this big scene, "I", as a reporter, launched an investigation on people's disappearance.

In fact, the biggest challenge for this project is modeling. The modeling knowledge learned in school is very limited, after all, I am Cross disciplinary application. In the course of natural light, I learned the usage and skills of various modeling software , especially learned how to operate software commonly used overseas. Of course, it took a lot of time from learning to adapting to software.

During the process of applying materials, the file suddenly became larger, rendering me silly. It took another 2 or 3 days to find out what went wrong. Although the process was very difficult, I had never done a big scene before, and this project was completed independently by me, which was very rewarding for me! It is the most interesting thinking process to learn from natural light and spread artistic ideas No matter the skills or ideas, I will certainly not be stage frighten when I meet greater challenges in the future~

When I was doing my own work, not every project could form its own world view at once. At this time, "I" is the center of the collection.

With "I" as the center, I have learned Erhu before, and folk music is very familiar to me. Inspired by a sports brand advertisement, I modeled the musical instruments of various folk music I was familiar with, and let them gather and float in the air when they were finally presented.

Another project is also centered on "me". Like Pixar's opening animation, I modeled my family name: JIA, and made a personal opening animation with K frame, and used this video as my own personal tag animation.

In fact, to dig deep into your own ideas, your own strengths, your own deep memories, or more simply to write in your own name, you can inspire. Divergent thinking is sometimes not that difficult. If you don't have enough ideas, it's up to you.

At first, I was worried about the interview, but after the interview with LCC and BU, I found that the process was relatively easy. So here are some experiences I can share with younger students who are worried about their interviews:

　　 1. Do it boldly Everyone has his own point. Your collection of works is the most unique, which may attract interviewers. Don't worry too much about this. And it's not embarrassing to communicate with foreigners. They can understand what you are saying~

　　 2. Sincerity is important . Showing your true self in the interview can really make you less nervous. In one interview, when the interviewer asked me how I felt, I sincerely replied that I was nervous. At the end of the interview, because it was already 11 o'clock, I said I was a little tired. In fact, it doesn't matter. It not only shows your truth, but also eases the tension. Isn't it killing two birds with one stone?

　　 3. Strive for discourse initiative . Your ideas are most clear only to yourself, and striving for the initiative of words can show more. At that time, the BU interviewer's accent was very strong, and I didn't understand many things, so at the end I said directly to the interviewer, "I have something to tell you." The interviewer also gave me the right to speak. Then I shared my understanding of the future 3D trend with the interviewer. Later, the interviewer also agreed with me.

From the modeling course that inspired my soul of modeling to the interdisciplinary application for six offers, I did have a lot of ideological struggles during this period, and also experienced the epidemic and had negative thoughts in the middle. Fortunately, my parents and teachers are supportive. If you find something you like in college, you can stick to it and work hard for it! After all, it is not easy to find your own direction.

I hope that my study in the UK can help me improve my modeling direction and learn more different things. After graduation, I also hope to work in modeling related industries. It seems that it is one step closer to 3D artists. As for school selection, Lunyi University is ranked top, but BU's life cost performance ratio is higher. I still have to struggle about which one to choose~
