First round consideration
University of Southern California Thornton Conservatory of Music Many of the programs in www.slideRoom. com require that the audition recordings be submitted through SlideRoom, and then assessed by teachers as part of the first round of assessment. The results of the first round will determine whether the applicant will enter the second round of review. The applicant must carefully examine the specific requirements of the selected procedure to ensure that these requirements are met.

The second round of review
Most of the courses at the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music need a second round of consideration. The detailed information about the second round of review will be sent to the applicants after the first round of review by e-mail in late December. Strings, keyboard cooperation art and horn program will need more tracks in the second round of review. For other programs, although no other tracks are required, the second round of consideration may include interactive activities, such as online performance auditions and/or interviews.

Resume should list music, professional and academic experience, usually 1-2 pages in length.
Track list – submitted via SlideRoom
The list should include works studied and executed. Etudes, scale studies, arias, art songs, chamber music, solo works and original works are examples that can be included in this list.

If you have professional requirements, encourage applicants to briefly describe their professional objectives and the purpose of applying for specific courses.
All applicants applying for the undergraduate course of classical music performance and composition must submit a single shot (through SlideRoom), unedited video, preferably without rehearsal, and no more than three minutes. In this video, the applicant must (1) provide a brief personal introduction, and (2) answer the following questions: If you put forward the idea of "Young Artists Program" today, what is the boldest plan you will put forward? Why?

Graduate Applicants - Applicants for certain graduate programs must submit one or three letters of recommendation from people familiar with their academic and professional backgrounds. All DMA applicants must submit a letter from at least one professor who has evaluated a large number of research or analytical papers written by the applicant. All references should be submitted through the SlideRoom portal.
