Step 1 Application Form
You can fill in the application form online or fill in the regular application. The application fee is $70 ($60 application fee; $10 collection submission fee)
Step 2 Collection
The collection of illustration design works should be submitted with recent art works, which can represent your artistic style or interest in art, and show professional skills and comprehensive ability. It is necessary to show the whole series of ideas of illustration design works, including points of interest, experience and ability.
Applicants must submit an illustration design portfolio of 12-20 works, and upload the portfolio when submitting the application form for art graduate students to study abroad.
Step 3 Essay
Write an Essay according to the prompt words (on APP and MICA application form) and submit at least 250 words of Essay.
Step 4 Recommendation
A recommendation letter from a teacher, instructor or professor that can clarify your academic experience in the art profession is an important basis. Submit at least one letter of recommendation.
Step 5 Activities and interests
Compile the list of activities and interests, and the awards won, and upload them as required.
Step 6 Translation
The applicant must provide a translation of the school's achievements. Your instructor may submit it through APP (if you choose the application method), Parchment, email (records mica. edu) or sending.
Step 7 Test scores
Maryland College of the Arts requires 80 points for undergraduate TOEFL and 6.5 points for IELTS. It is not strictly required to submit SAT or ACT scores, which will be a strong proof of English ability.
Application deadline: 2.1-4.15 for freshmen; Transfer student 3.15-4.15
