About the exhibition
UCCA Ullens Contemporary Art Center and Yale University The exhibition "Matthew Barney: The Fortress" jointly planned by the Art Museum shows the latest series of works created by American contemporary artist Matthew Barney from 2016 to 2019. This exhibition is also the first solo exhibition of artists in China.
This exhibition mainly displays a feature film called Fortress, which centers on the story of wolf hunting in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho, USA. There is no dialogue in the whole film, but Matthew Barney adds dance elements to the film, allowing the characters to communicate with wild animals through body language.
