The Royal Scottish Conservatory of Music, founded in 1845, is a British institution of higher learning dedicated to the teaching of music and drama. The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow is a combination of three academic centers, namely, the Conservatory of Music, the Dance Academy and the Youth College. It has more than ten undergraduate and master majors. Glasgow Royal Scottish School of Music and Drama has developed into one of the most famous art universities in the UK by virtue of its excellent academic atmosphere, advanced teaching philosophy, strong faculty and hardware facilities.
The Royal Scottish Conservatory of Music is the ABRSM( Royal College of Music RAM RCM, Royal College of Music, London, Royal Northern Conservatory of Music RNCM, a member of the Royal Scottish Academy of Arts (RSC). The Royal Scottish Conservatory of Music is the busiest performing arts institution in Scotland. The teaching content of the college means that the performance arrangement is very intensive. There are many performances every week in the school (there are more than 600 performances in our own venue every year), and more performances outside the school.
The College attaches great importance to scientific research because the key factors in performance and/or creation can bring clear and unique status and characteristics to the scientific research of the College. The Bachelor of Education (Music) is the main way for students to enter the Scottish classroom to teach music. This course of Royal Scottish Conservatory of Music is also the only four-year course in the world that can provide internship experience. Opera Department:
The Opera School is headed by Philip White, the director of opera. The school is also supported by vocal music teacher Professor Stephen Robertson and vocal music research lecturer Mark Hathaway.
The department is relatively small, with 20-25 students in two-year courses, so all students have received great individual attention.
The vocal music staff of the resident coordinator is composed of experienced and outstanding teachers and practitioners. A wide range of visiting coaches, directors and visiting artists constantly provide a source of external stimulation.
The twice weekly singing class and regular coaching are the basis of this program. There are various performance opportunities, scenes and comprehensive production, most of which are at home, but some are carried out together with the Scottish Opera House and other partners, which provides learning experience for aspiring students to start their opera career.
