The Fine Arts Department of the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts is the flagship specialty of the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts, which mainly provides bachelor's, master's and doctor's degrees for undergraduates. The scope of research also focuses on pure art.

What are the degrees?
Bachelor of Fine Arts
The research of the Bachelor of Arts degree aims to provide students with the basic artistic, cognitive and theoretical abilities and skills required by visual artists. The degree is composed of 210 credits and completed within 3.5 years. After completing the degree, students have the resources they need to work as visual artists, and continue their research to obtain a master's degree and lifelong learning.
Master of Fine Arts
The Master of Arts degree aims to provide resources for students to play a role in society and the world as an independent and analytical artist. The master's degree is composed of 120 credits and completed within 2 years. Art masters have a comprehensive understanding of art instruments, and understand the current significance and history of these instruments. They are qualified to be art experts and artists, and are ready to continue to engage in art graduate education.
Doctor of Fine Arts
The goal of the liberal arts doctoral degree is that students have a deep understanding of their own fields of interest, reach the qualifications required to create high-level, artistically mature jobs, and be able to conduct independent and innovative research in their own fields. The doctoral degree is composed of 240 credits and completed within 4 years.

stay Studying in Finland Academy of Fine Arts During the study period, art students have the opportunity to participate in various workshops, biennales, world fairs, festivals, exhibitions and other activities outside Finland. We participate in a great deal of international cooperation every year. Exchange exhibitions with other universities are an excellent opportunity for students to explore how art is pursued in other institutions and networks with their peers. Some of our partnerships have been going on for years. More international experience is available to students in art workshops organized by the European Exchange Institute (EEA), such as seminars held in Belize, Germany and Sonniford, Norway. In addition, students of the Academy of Fine Arts can participate in international workshops related to large-scale contemporary art activities such as the Venice Contemporary Biennale, the Declaration and Kassel.

The Academy of Fine Arts is one of the colleges of Helsinki University of the Arts. Finland Academy of Fine Arts focuses on independent art, so that students can flexibly pursue their own aspirations when choosing courses and planning courses. Individual guidance and independent works of art are an integral part of these studies, but group guidance, workshops, field trips and various projects are also important and have raised community awareness in the college. The teachers of the Academy of Fine Arts are outstanding visual artists and experts in various art fields.
