Sorting criteria
In 2012, the Animation carrier review began to release regional and national rankings in response to numerous emails from aspiring animators and game designers asking them what is the best school in the United States, a state or a specific region.
In preparation for this year's ranking, the Animation care review considered hundreds of schools in the United States, which provide projects designed for animation or games. Finally, the goal is to provide students with sufficient information so that they can make wise decisions about the schools they choose to attend and the courses they pursue.
The criteria used in the animation care review in this list have no special order, including the following:
Academic reputation
Students' Selectivity
Depth and breadth of courses
Value related to tuition
geographical position

In 2015, the Animation care review incorporated the school questionnaire into the information collection and evaluation process. In the recent school year, I contacted every school under consideration and asked them to provide information about their specific projects and which projects they thought were the most impressive, including countries and regions. Although it is impossible to obtain information directly from the school, the Animation care review obtains necessary information from the school's website or other prestigious publications.
The explanation of geographical location is a ranking factor: when judging a school and talking with industry professionals, it is increasingly obvious that the school's location is important in the field of animation and/or game design, perhaps more important than many other professions. Students who study in the Mecca Holy Land of animation/games, such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Orlando, have an obvious advantage over students from other countries in New York, Chicago, Boston, Austin and several other cities in terms of full-time work, social opportunities, internships, free acting, and career specific part-time work. Does this mean that you have to go to school in one of these cities to work in the animation or game industry? Absolutely not. But the schools in these cities do offer some less advantages in other places. So remember, in our Ranking of American Art Universities We are considering geographical advantages.
Finally, each student has different needs, including the type of project and academic rigor, campus culture, as well as cost, lifestyle and professional concerns. Animation care review hopes that this list is the starting point for students to find the most suitable school for them, but these lists are not a decisive factor.
