Accommodation conditions and expenses of Southampton University dormitory

   University of Southampton Dormitory Accommodation

1. Mayflower, a slightly expensive new dormitory area that has been put into use for 14 years, has a good view of high-rise buildings, is very close to the railway station (WSA students also have no pressure to choose this one), is close to ASDA (a large supermarket), is close to west quay (the largest shopping mall in Nan'an), and is close to IKEA, Haibian, the city government, parks, Theater, and the Titanic Memorial Hall, It is about 20 minutes' drive away from the play in the main campus.

2. Archers halls (Romero hall, gately hall, St. Magret. three dormitories close to each other). This geographical location is not facing the street. It is quiet. I lived for three months. The single small bed room is slightly small, but independent bathroom, and 24-hour hot water. This location is in a residential area, which is very comfortable, so the house I rented later is also near this road. It is between the city center and the main campus. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the city center and 20-25 minutes to walk to the school. You can also take a bus.

3. Wessex, this is probably the largest dormitory area. The buildings are arranged alphabetically like a community. I remember at least they have been arranged to JQK (it seems that they are not in alphabetical order). This area is full of students, so it is very safe and quiet nearby. It is about 10 minutes' walk from the airport and 10 minutes' drive from the school, but it is about 30 minutes' drive from the city center (many stations). Of course, the environment is much better than the feel of domestic university dormitories. There is a beautiful park suitable for dog walking, running and cycling and several Chinese restaurants with high hit rate nearby.

4. Glen, a small and independent garden left behind by the world, if I may say so, the transportation is not as convenient as the first three because there are at least several bus stops near the first three, while the bus at the entrance of Glen only has a U2B that runs every 20 minutes, but it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the school. The rooms are slightly larger than Achers, and some of them share two toilets on the first floor. If you mind, you'd better write an email to the school in advance to confirm whether it is a public toilet or an independent bathroom.
