Therefore, Monash University has developed a series of different accommodation options on campus. Campus selection
Crichton Campus
Clayton provides you with a complete campus experience and all the conveniences you need nearby.
Clayton campus is where most of our campus accommodation is located. However, if you study in another campus in Monash, you are still welcome to apply for accommodation in Clayton. Check the travel distance and inter school shuttle bus of Clayton campus.
In Clayton Campus, you will be able to take classes easily, and be close to campus facilities, the library and Monash University.
Clayton Residential Village
Traditional student dormitories and shared apartments have private bedrooms, shared kitchens, bathrooms and rest rooms.
Clayton City Community
A fully equipped one bedroom apartment with all the facilities you need, including a private bathroom and kitchenette.

Peninsula Campus
Located at the entrance of Monington Peninsula, it is about 30 minutes' drive from Clayton.
During the semester, regular free buses connect our Clayton campus with Caulfield and Peninsula campuses and from Peninsula campus to Frankston Railway Station. Check out the travel distance of the Peninsula campus.
All campus accommodation options in the Peninsula Campus are within walking range, not far from the campus center and the gym, and the commuting time to the local beach is also very short.
Peninsula Residential Village
The shared house and unit are fully equipped with your own private bedroom, as well as the shared living room, kitchen, bathroom and laundry.
Peninsula One bedroom Apartment
Self service one bedroom apartment with complete facilities, private suites and kitchenette facilities.
1. Accommodation:
The price of a single room (sharing the bathroom with others) is AU $150-AU $250
The price of a double room (sharing the bathroom with others) is AU $200-AU $300
Masterroom, with independent toilet, the price is AU $250-AU $350,
2. Eat:
breakfast
AU $8 or so, the simplest is hamburger or sandwich or muffin, with a cup of coffee.
Milk: 1 knife/Kg, can be safely and boldly drunk for 2 days
Cereals: 4 knives/kg, one to two weeks
Chieftain: 3 knives, at least 3 days
Eggs: 3 knives/12 pieces, conscience price!
Bacon: 10 knives/Kg, one week is not a problem
The average daily cost is only $3!!!
lunch
AU $10 or so. There are many choices for you, such as the school canteen, the restaurants around the school, and M Records.
Because of the limited lunch break in class, most students will choose to eat out, whether it is a set meal of M, or Chinese fried rice, or Japanese ramen, the price is generally between $10 and $15.
dinner
AU $15 or so. Go to a restaurant with friends to order two dishes and two bowls of rice. It will cost at least $30, not to mention those restaurants that are famous and have long lines at the door. So I want to eat something good outside for dinner. The cost is more than $40.
If you want to cook at home, the cost will be much reduced. Supermarkets in Australia are relatively cheap.
Summary of living expenses of Monash University:

Transportation cost: 50-70 Australian dollars/week.
International students can legally work for 20 hours a week (working all day on weekends and holidays), with an average income of 10-15 Australian dollars per hour, which can cover most of their living expenses.
