For two consecutive years, Natural Light has a special appointment with Yijie. In the past week, we have successfully concluded the 2019 Natural Light Student Works Exhibition held in Yijie. Now, we can't wait to share the scene of the exhibition with you! This year, our exhibition concept is "SUPERB". Because when creating artistic works, people are always full of complex moods, surprises of collision of thoughts, hardships in the process of production, joy in the completion of works, anxiety in waiting for offers, and happiness in getting Dream School Offers.

　　 What are there at the exhibition site?

The 10 groups of natural light students' works in this exhibition cover different fields such as painting, animation, installation, graphic design, book design, etc. From interior to plane, they include students' observation and thinking on art life. Many of these works have been accepted by top foreign art schools, such as NYU New York University, SVA New York School of Visual Arts Pratt Preet College of Art 、 SAIC Chicago Academy of Arts, RIT Rochester Institute of Technology, etc. The works are presented in plane, three-dimensional, video and other ways.

On site, you can feel the deep meaning of the exhibition works from the three aspects of vision, hearing and touch. The diversified interactive ways can also allow you to fully experience the artistic sense while watching the exhibition!

On the day of the opening ceremony, there were even more people. The members of our curatorial team were still conducting a guided tour in an orderly manner, seriously interacting with the visitors, and carefully explaining the introduction, creative ideas, and best viewing methods of each work of art in the exhibition to give the students the best experience and service.

Zhang Yiyi, a student majoring in natural light plane

There are 400 million patients with depression in the world, nearly 100 million in China, and about 1 million people commit suicide due to depression every year. We often talk about depression but know little about it. Depression is easily misunderstood by the public as thinking too much, being in a bad mood, being sentimental, and getting better in a few days. These are considered as "asking for help", which may be the last "help" for patients with depression.

Zhang's work Existence is to show the psychological state of patients with depression that is often ignored by the public through pictures. The purpose is to let people know that depression and depression really exist and exist in our lives all the time. Call on everyone to understand more and be less indifferent. The work finally won the online popularity award with 697 votes and successfully took away the award AirPods2~

Liu Wei, an overseas student majoring in natural light animation

This is an animated work called Change, which tells the story of making four advertisements for the virtual company under the background of color correction and exchange between people and animals, corresponding to the value and utilization of four aspects of animals in reality. This is the most popular social topic at the moment. At the same time, we call on everyone to protect animals, respect other natural life, and live in harmony with them.

Change uses art to break the boundaries of reality. The creator uses his own unique innovative thinking, and the final work stands out with high popularity and wins the on-site popularity award. Lei: International students majoring in indoor natural light

The most impressive experience of this exhibition is that under the careful guidance of teachers, we can really implement the works designed by ourselves and the students in the field of visual communication, and we are proud of having so many onlookers.

It is an unprecedented inspiration for me to study design for the past five years. The learning of design by looking at pictures and speaking in college did not make me foresee the difficulties and facing ability of the design project construction. Even the simplest preliminary survey work is enough to affect the overall landing effect in the later stage. I have a deep understanding of this.

The most interesting point of the experience of cross professional cooperation is the collision of thoughts with students from different majors from their own professional perspective. This feeling can stimulate their own design thinking. I hope there will be such opportunities for cross professional cooperation in the future. Teachers and students with innovative spirit are really nice.

Classmate Wu: Natural light Studying abroad in graphic design student

Through a curatorial activity, I participated in the real design project for the first time. It was no longer watching ppt in the classroom, but completing a practical activity that could be implemented with students. Not only has the team cooperation ability been trained, but also learned a lot of knowledge outside the classroom and met students in different majors. I learned a lot by participating in the work in front of and behind the curator's desk, and the two teachers also gave us a lot of advice and help in the process of curation.

Zhang: Natural light indoor professional student

This curatorial activity is my first time to contact the content related to graphic design, from which I have gained a lot of experience. Not only did I understand the process of curation, but also learned how to make my works show their own characteristics through space layout and exhibition display, and also learned a lot of knowledge about graphic design.

In the whole process, the two teachers gave us a lot of help, and the partners also helped each other, learning and communicating with each other, so that the output of this project was achieved. This activity also taught me that I should adapt to the actual situation in order to better implement my ideas.

By participating in this curatorial activity, I gained a lot of knowledge and experience, and also met a group of lovely people. First of all, I strengthened my team awareness, learned to find solutions in constraints and difficulties, and sought consensus in disputes. Secondly, in the whole process of curation, I fully learned and practiced, deeply participated in various work of exhibition preparation, and understood the front and back of the art exhibition project. Finally, I was very happy to know so many like-minded friends, and I also thank the two teachers for their help in the whole process.

The curatorial project didn't last long, but I gained a lot of experience. Because of the change of profession, most of the previous creation ended in the electronic version, and there were few opportunities to personally land the design from beginning to end like this. I felt very happy to see my design printed out in kind and read and used by many visitors.

The two leading teachers also gave us a lot of help in the whole process, including explanation of professional knowledge, suggestions on design output, and cooperation in the exhibition arrangement process. Looking at each work in the small exhibition hall shining in their unique position, blooming value, my heart is filled with a sense of achievement.

In more than 30 days of curation, exhibition build-up and exhibition withdrawal cycle, I got a preliminary understanding of the work of an exhibition through the measurement, planning and layout of the "Yijie" space, as well as the preparation, design and printing of the plane materials of the exhibition activities.

At the beginning, I worked happily with the teachers and partners in the team, and experienced the tension of problems when landing, the hard work of setting up the venue, the satisfaction of a successful opening, and the reluctance to leave at the end of the exhibition. All kinds of emotions were intertwined with the memory of this exhibition. During this period, I experienced common learning and progress with my classmates in the same major, Cooperation with students from different majors and learning new knowledge have become my valuable experience and memory.

The successful conclusion of this exhibition can not be separated from the six "heroes behind the scenes" of the exhibition. Their unique passion and enthusiasm presented an art party of turning over the vision. Not only that, but also the improvement of the background.
