Tianze applied for studying abroad in British industrial design, and his collection of works won five grand slams of offers, and was admitted by Camberwell College of Arts, London University of the Arts, University of Creative Arts, Coventry University, Sheffield University, Nottingham Trent University and other schools.

Tianze is from an international high school in Zhengzhou. During the high school, she has been studying basic courses in natural light. She follows the teacher's online courses in weekdays, and will come to Beijing to teach courses on Saturdays, Sundays, winter and summer vacations. This has been going on intermittently for nearly three years, but the final collection of industrial design works took three months to complete.

Tianze's application for the British Industrial Design Preparatory Course is that he did not learn much about the college entrance examination in the three years of international high school, most of them were learning English. If he wants to apply for the undergraduate course there, he must have a college entrance examination score. It is more difficult for him to apply, so he applies for the preparatory course, At the same time, I hope to spend more time to lay a good foundation.

Tianze has applied to UAL London University of the Arts, UCA University of Creative Arts, Coventry University Sheffield University , Nottingham, and Kingston. 　　 Q: Let's talk about how many projects in your industrial design portfolio? What are these projects~

There are four items and four sets of observational paintings in my industrial design portfolio.

The first item is about a memory of my childhood, because I was injured when I was young. When I was very young, my hand would be different from others' right hand. There will be many different things in the eyes of others when they look at me, such as strange, curious and so on. Some will show the feeling of disgust, which can be seen from the eyes. Then I collected some such eyes to make such a scroll to express these childhood memories.

The other group of scroll paintings is aimed at some unusual things in my hand, that is, I can still do some things that ordinary people can do, such as playing basketball and carrying things. As for the actions like applauding, I may have different ways and actions from others. I used these two scrolls to show a set of scrolls that echo each other.

These two short scrolls were stacked together with four pieces of rice paper, and then glued together with white latex. They are thick and I painted them with colored lead.

The second item is also about myself. When I was young, I often did rehabilitation training to reduce the tension of this hand. So when I was young, I was very upset. I had to do not only homework, but also study. When I returned home, I had to do rehabilitation training. It can be said that when I could not play in my daily life, I often saw other children playing outside, I can only train with my mother at home.

Because I was very interested in machinery and mechanical structure since I was young, I wondered if there was a kind of machine that I could wear on my body. When my hands were tense and needed treatment, or when I needed it to relax, I could use it. Then I went to a teacher who worked with me in rehabilitation training when I was a child to learn rehabilitation movements with him and see if there were any movements that could be used in my project. After communicating with this teacher, I polished and made this model with the yellow model, which is similar to the high-density foam board. Finally, I made several sets of this model and drew some sketches.

Finally, I think the finished product is a thing that can be worn on the hand. It is similar to Iron Man's mechanical arm. The lever principle forces the hand to relax. For example, when there are many people in a speech, I will be nervous, but when I wear the mechanical arm, I will relax. It has also been polished for many times.

　　 Q: There are some setbacks from the idea to the actual thing, right? Did the teacher give you some suggestions or help you improve?

Yes, because it is not like that he can build a model by moving the mouse and keyboard with a computer. Then I used this high-density foam board for the first time, and it needs to be polished bit by bit. My British industrial design teacher often told me that every time you polish it, you should think about what is good and what is bad about it, and why you should polish it in this direction. I have benefited a lot. I will study on my own and think about why I do this.

The third industrial design project is a vision of utopia. It was interesting to hear our teacher talk about utopianism in history class. Because I was also very interested in history, I checked it and found that the utopia was very representative, so I took it as a subject matter. Then I went to do some research and saw some films about utopia. The final work wanted to express people's ideal of communism.

This project was led by Miss Wang Jiaxin. She taught me step by step and gave me some advice on what materials to use. Finally, I decided to take a skull, make a hole, and put styrofoam in it to express a burst of human ideas. But I am the representative of the unrealistic thinking, I used some foam, and small buildings, and then formed an unfinished future society, which may be good or bad, but I think this thing is here, it is an unfinished task.

The fourth project was led by Mr. Xiaohua (Mr. Ren Jie). It is an experiment on Automatic Watering Product. It uses a single chip microcomputer and is an automatic watering device for plants. Because my mother likes to raise flowers, she often encounters a problem, that is, our family goes out to play together, and when we come back, we find that all the flowers are cold. This is the inspiration for this project.

　　 Industrial Design Course Miss Xiaohua told me how to use machines to water plants automatically, and we did such a project to make plants water automatically when no one is looking after them. I made a soil detector that can detect moisture based on some knowledge of computer programming. After many experiments, we set a value. This value is that if the soil humidity is insufficient, it will automatically water, which proves that the humidity has decreased and is dry, we will water it, and when the humidity reaches a certain value, we will stop watering. There is also a water pump that can pump water into flower pots.

　　 Q: After listening to your several industrial design portfolio projects, I felt that they were all expressions of self. When you chose this topic, did your teachers support you very much? Did you get some directions at this time? Has the collection of works affected your mood or hurt you?

I think it's OK, because I'm a big hearted person. My mother taught me from childhood that you are no different from other children, and you usually have the same requirements for me as other children. At school, my mother will also tell the teacher that it is OK. He is just like other children. You should control and fight. So as a boy, I didn't say anything about being in a bad mood. I will recall some childhood experiences, but I think my childhood is still happy, and there is no special psychological pressure.

My teacher thought that the topic selection was very good, and the deduction was very accurate, and it was also from their own perspective. Admissions officers also think it is good to have their own experience, and for applications, admissions officers will want something different. When we selected the topic, we also asked my parents. They said no problem. You think this is good for you. If you can control it well, you can do it. They are very supportive.

　　 Q: What do you think is the biggest gain in the production of industrial design works? What did you get from the teacher?

I think I have gained a lot in the past three months in Beijing and learned a lot from each teacher. For example, I learned a lot of knowledge about industrial design from Mr. Zhang, which I didn't know before, and I also experienced how to express what I wanted to express with 3D modeling and modeling methods during my college years; Then, what I learned from Miss Jiaxin is how to cultivate your own aesthetics. She will teach you a lot of ways to make these things beautiful, beautiful and visual; What I learned from Miss Xiaohua is that I can program. I heard that programming is very good. Miss Xiaohua took my industrial design class to teach me how to develop industrial design, industrial design history and industry.

In the past admissions officer activities, we interviewed many admissions officers' opinions on the collection of works, and all suggestions were centered on the core "Personal Voice".

Everyone knows that famous artists and designers have their own personalities. Why can they make achievements? It is because they are different from others and have their own unique ideas. Then, for art schools that train designers and artists, when they enroll students, they must want to see your characteristics. Characteristics refer to your interests, your ideas, your special places, and what you like and don't like about what you are studying.

The collection of industrial design works is a medium to introduce and recommend oneself to schools and admissions officers. It is easy to create overseas works, but it is not easy to have personal voice works, which requires students to think a lot. Only by taking the theme of the works and the creator himself as the main line, can the works reflect personal voice through vertical deepening and divergent extension. Otherwise, there will be a large number of applicants, and the ordinary collection of works without highlights will inevitably lose its competitive advantage.
