Carnegie Mellon University, School of Design

The School of Design of Carnegie Mellon University is one of the five subordinate schools of the Academy of Fine Arts (the other four are the School of Architecture, the School of Arts, the School of Drama and the School of Music). The undergraduate courses of the college are divided into the Department of Communication Design and the Department of Industrial Design. Postgraduate study is divided into three directions: communication planning and information design, interaction design, and product development. In addition, the college provides students from other colleges with minor courses in design and summer courses for middle school students. Bachelor of Fine Arts, Master of Design and Doctor of Design can be awarded. The industrial design major of the university is awarded a master's degree in product development. The length of schooling is one year. The admission requirements for international students are TOEFL 100 or above, and they must have GRE scores to apply.

   Rhode Island School of Design

Rhode Island School of Design, founded in 1877, is a highly rated art school and is famous for its diversified six week winter courses. It has specialties such as architecture, clothing and textile research, design and practical art, film and television and photography art, art and art research, interior architecture, garden architecture, carpentry, etc. Postgraduate education includes ceramic art, furniture design, glass, graphic design, jewelry and metal, painting and printmaking, photography, sculpture, fiber, landscape architecture, industrial design, art education, interior architecture and other courses. The college is close to Brown University and can share some courses. It was the first art college in the United States in 2003-2008. Students focus on a series of industrial projects, explore contemporary issues, strengthen and expand industrial design methods through direct practice and group discussion. Accept applications from non industrial design students, such as architecture, engineering, graphic design, art, marketing and other majors. I like that applicants have critical thinking, sufficient visual communication skills, and personal life and work experience to promote applicants to develop personal perspectives to examine the national culture in the design. A specialized master's degree in industrial design is awarded. The admission requirements for international students are TOEFL 93 or above.
