Metropolitan University of London (London Metropolitan University) is a famous public university in Britain, commonly known as London Met, and is a public research university in London, England. In 2002, the University of North London and London City Hall University (formerly London Vocational and Technical College) (the School of Principle Engineering in North London) merged to create the university. Its roots can be traced back to 1848. It is one of the oldest educational institutions in London.
