Digipen Institute of Technology, founded in 1988, is a private institution focusing on computer related applications such as animation, game design, sound design, video game development and computer engineering research. As we all know, it is an institute for research and development of computer science. The computer engineering project has been recognized by the Certification Committee of Technology and Engineering Company. The college has developed rapidly over the years. The college started offering 3D computer animation courses in 1990. In 1994, the college opened the first video game coding course. The first degree program offered by the college is the BSc in real-time interactive simulation. In 1996, the Washington State Higher Education Coordination Commission approved the college to offer degree programs in the state. In 2002, it received the national certification from the Vocational College and School Accreditation Committee.

The campus of DigiPe Research Institute of Digippen Institute of Technology includes laboratories, digital classrooms, cafeterias and a library containing thousands of journals, books, magazines and research documents. Provide students with accommodation and all other facilities needed on campus. All competitions, festivals, activities, debates and seminars organized by the College are held on campus. There are more than 50 student organizations on campus. The college offers undergraduate degree programs and graduate degree programs. The college has 3000 students.
