Major setting of Tokyo University of Arts
Department Major
At present, Dongyi University is divided into two departments, namely, the Fine Arts Department and the Music Department. The Fine Arts Department consists of seven majors, namely, painting, sculpture, craft, design, architecture, cutting-edge art performance, and art. Together with the seven majors of the Music Department, there are 14 majors. As a national college, the tuition is half of that of a private college, and it has become a cost-effective art university pursued by many art students.
Painting discipline: Japanese painting, oil painting, printmaking, mural painting and oil painting techniques and materials.
Sculpture discipline: The history of the Sculpture Department can be traced back to the 20th year of the Meiji era (1887). The Sculpture Department mainly uses four materials, namely red pottery, stone carving, wood carving and metal, and has seven research rooms to carry out research in different fields.
Process discipline: there are six directions: carving gold, forging gold, casting gold, lacquer art, pottery art and dyeing and weaving.
Design discipline: The design discipline is roughly divided into three categories of "vision", "space" and "function", with 10 research rooms in different fields.
Architecture: Different from other university architecture disciplines, which belong to the engineering department, the architecture discipline of Dongyi University belongs to the fine arts department, which only enrolls 15 students a year, with 9 teachers as the lecturers. With a few elite systems, it cultivates professionals who master architectural knowledge and technology.
Advanced art performance discipline: from photo, computer, image to music, body, with the help of different media means, research on human and environment, artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge topics.
