In such a high-pressure learning atmosphere, she was infected by everyone's love for animation, so she decided to try it herself.
It was this impulsive belief that made her not stop at the status quo, and finally chose to study the natural light reception system, which took three months to cross the "gap" of time. But at the beginning, we met the busiest time of IB, during which the courses were intermittent. The previous month was more about the running in process with the tutor. Q: How long has your portfolio course lasted? Have you taken any basic courses?
A: Since signing in early October last year Online Portfolio Training Because of the heavy pressure during the busiest time of IB, the class was interrupted, but fortunately, the teacher urged in a timely manner. On December 17, I returned home for the Christmas holiday to begin offline teaching, and the final version of the album was reviewed on January 3. No basic courses.
Q: How long has your portfolio been prepared?
A: He returned to China for offline teaching at Christmas. Previously, due to graduation pressure, he did not focus on the collection of works in the UK. The most important thing was the last ten days of returning to China (to work hard, Ollie gave). For more than ten days, the teacher worked overtime every day to accompany me, and almost stayed overnight every other day.
Q: How many projects have been done in the collection?
A: If the animation foundation is included, there are five projects in total: Where is Tanko? (Where did Tianzi go?), Project: Lost&Found, The Rubber Band, Experience.
Q: Let's talk about these projects in detail?
A: 1. Project: Lost&Found (Human Lost and Found Office Plan) was inspired by a discussion with the teacher on philosophical issues after a class: "Can we break away from memory and cultural existence?" The story is set in a world where everything about human beings is still after a nuclear failure. The two protagonists in the story are the two robots in the "Human Lost and Found Office Plan". Their responsibility is to find and find the traces left by human beings in the city engulfed by plants, so that human beings can recover and continue to maintain the original civilization after they wake up. I want to show my belief and identity, and also want to show the insignificance of my origin, the value of my spirit, and the most primitive and sincere reverence for nature.
2.Where is Tanko? (Where did Tianzi go?) The inspiration comes from people's escapism in the face of real pressure. The story tells the story of a little boy and a rabbit escaping from the train. The rabbit in the story symbolizes temptation and short pleasure. The little boy finally makes his choice to escape from the train and grow up; I think that both adults and children have their own inner "shelter" or "refuge", but we may need to grow up and become more brave while maintaining innocence.
3. The Rubber Band is a heroic story of a flying team composed of teenagers. The purpose of this project is to meet the dreams of the pilots who had heroism in their childhood.
4. Some things in the final project Experience are mixed, and the whole project is carried out around a contradictory "self". It includes a deformed animation about childhood dreams, an illustration about the discussion of "love" and a cover design of your own songs.
Q: Which project is more difficult in the process? How does the teacher help you solve problems in this project?
A: Where is Tanko? (Where did Tianzi go) is the most difficult. At the end of the project, including human settings, scenes, vehicles, and story boards, it needs sufficient preliminary knowledge to support. At the beginning, when I was a "cartoon white", my teacher gave me a lot of theoretical knowledge and design skills. The teacher not only gave me some visual guidance, but also helped me sort out the story.
Q: How do you understand this major?
A: I think animation is all inclusive. It can be a surreal record of life, or the most intuitive expression of emotion; Animation has no restrictions on the form, and the way of expression is like art itself, free and unrestrained.
Q: Is there any difference between having classes in natural light and having classes in school before?
A: There are differences. In natural light learning, teachers will guide ideas, provide more professional advice, and pay more attention to individual needs. The activities of natural light are also very rich, but because my offline teaching time is too urgent, I'm sorry I didn't have the opportunity to participate in it: (But I will definitely come if I have the opportunity next!!! I'm still busy with graduation.
Q: Have you finally decided which school to go to?
A: Influenced by the epidemic, I personally thought it would be safer to stay in the UK for the first year of my college career, so I decided to go to St. Martin to study the design preparatory course for one year first and then look at the next choice. Of course, my love for animation will not decline!
Q: Did you encounter any difficulties in the application process?
A: Time is too short, which is definitely the biggest trouble. However, this is the only chance to hit the south wall. After all, it is an important stage of life, and we must do our best.
Q: How do you feel about receiving an offer?
A: I vaguely remember that the first offer I received was from SCAD Savannah College of Art and Design Of. The night before that, I had been studying all night for the exam. In the afternoon, I received an offer when I was preparing for a break after the exam. Because I have not recognized my ability for a long time, I feel surprised and calm when I receive it without any excitement. However, with the increase of offers received, I gradually increased my confidence in my ability.
