The World University Ranking of Architecture Department mainly refers to the QS World University Ranking, which is the annual world university ranking published by the educational organization Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The rankings include comprehensive rankings of major world universities and disciplinary rankings. On February 27, 2019, London released the ninth edition of the 2019~2020QS World University Discipline Ranking, which compared 48 different subjects and evaluated 1127 universities from 74 countries around the world. So far, it is the largest and most complex university ranking. From this year's ranking, American universities still dominate the screen, followed by British universities: among 48 majors, American schools ranked first in 28 majors, while British schools ranked first in 13 majors, and American schools accounted for 234 positions in the top 10 of all majors.

This year, QS World University School of Architecture ranked a total of 200 top universities, design universities and research institutions across six continents. Among the 200 universities listed in the ranking, the UK occupies a total of 20, of which 13 are among the top 100 in the world; Australia has a total of 15 universities, of which 10 are among the top 100 in the world; China has 11 universities in total, of which 5 are among the top 100 in the world; Canada has a total of 8 universities, of which 4 are among the top 100 in the world; The United States has a total of 38 universities, among which 21 are among the top 100 in the world.
