This year's application season is really not friendly to everyone. The study abroad market is turbulent, visa pressure is increasing, application requirements are changing in turn, and DDL is shrinking. Fortunately, the harvest season is coming. Natural Light has received many good news recently, and students have received dozens of offers including Parsons, Pratt, CCA, RMIT! Now, we have summarized some application guides for art students to study abroad to share their experience in applying for art students to study abroad.

Application Guide for Art Students Studying Abroad

1. Is it completely timely to submit DDL on the same day?

Art students applying for studying abroad must not step on the DDL to submit applications! Whether the student is DIY or has the help of the application teacher, the application must be prepared in advance. First of all, from the perspective of objective factors, there is a lot of uncertainty in the application platform. This year, network failures, delays and even temporary closure of the website caused by the surge in the number of people are frequent. In previous years, such situations have also occurred. Students must reserve enough time to prevent unexpected situations;

Secondly, students should also set aside time to verify the integrity and correctness of the application materials. Once the uploaded materials are slightly inconsistent with the size, quantity, size, etc. required by the university, they will fail to upload. We must reserve the opportunity and time for ourselves to modify them.

For students, application is a last minute error free task. We must try our best to be careful and well prepared to ensure that everything is safe!

2. School selection ranking is everything?

No, ranking is only a reference dimension. I believe you also know that there are many rankings of colleges and universities on the market, and various reference data are different, so there is no way to use them as a unified reference standard;

Therefore, in addition to trying to select the data listed by some authoritative institutions as a reference (such as QS, U.S. News, TIMES, etc.), it is more important for students to start from their own conditions and refer to the curriculum, enrollment requirements, infrastructure, student works, etc. of the institutions to find the institutions that match their current levels and interests in various aspects, Is the best choice for me!

3. Is it too late to apply for a change of country in the near future?

This can be discussed on a case by case basis. For example, for those with similar application requirements, such as Britain and the United States, there is relatively little difference in the major part of the collection of works. For other documents and format issues, it should be too late to hurry up;

But if you choose a small language country, it is definitely too late! First of all, most small language countries need to provide additional language scores, and we have no time to prepare;

Secondly, some colleges and universities in Japan, South Korea and Germany also need to contact professional tutors in advance for targeted material requirements. The colleges and universities themselves also have a big gap in their professional direction, which takes time and energy to prepare in advance.

So we need to be careful and do a full research before we apply, whether it is to change countries or colleges!

4. Language scores are not enough, can I still apply?

In principle, you can apply. However, there are only two cases: the first is that the college has a language class or preparatory course, or can make up for language scores after getting a Conditional Offer.

This situation generally applies to students with poor language performance, or students who are more strict with themselves and think that learning a language for a period of time can better adapt to the study and life abroad, especially those who apply for a British master's degree.

The second is that they have strong professional ability and are expected to be admitted exceptionally, but this situation is very, extremely rare. It is also recommended that students not take risks easily and try to prepare language scores in advance!
