The overall situation of studying abroad in the UK this year is very tense and chaotic. We have also told you a lot about this matter, but to be honest, we still cannot solve every student's questions and entanglements. This chaotic application season, coupled with the "strange" application situation of various colleges and universities, first RCA took the lead in this year, and the application rules were changed again and again; Later, in previous years, such as the UAL, the application was popular and the application requirements and DDL were uncertain; Studying in the United States and the United Kingdom has recently been close to the first batch of DDLs from many colleges and universities. In particular, many colleges and universities broke the rumor of "not sure whether there will be a second round of applications" this year. What should we do if we fail to catch up with the first batch of applications for studying abroad?

Although the first batch of application for studying abroad has advantages, it does not mean that the second batch and the third batch are not optional (of course, the premise is that the school's official press conference has the second batch and the third batch!). After all, from the perspective of time, the preparation period of the next two batches will be extended by 1-2 months, and the polishing of the collection will certainly be more sufficient.
So if you are still not confident about your collection of works, and feel that more in-depth optimization is needed, you may also need the help of teachers to review and feedback several times, then you can actually consider applying in the second batch. Of course, as an applicant, you must have a good grasp of your current portfolio and progress.
Secondly, for some students with special circumstances, such as overseas students, the method may be more flexible. As an example around Yu Bochen, one of my friends applied for CSM photography the year before last. It was December at that time. She went to school by herself and submitted her portfolio and application materials to CSM Central St Martins , and soon got the offer in early January.

Such special cases also occur among students. We had one application last year Studying Abroad in Pure Art Major A female student who was studying in the UK gave her collection of works and application materials to her boyfriend to help her face to face with the school.
For students who are overseas themselves, this situation may be relatively flexible. They can go directly to the school to submit and "urge" the school to handle it in person. But I don't particularly recommend that all students do this!! Although flexible, unless there are really special circumstances, most of the time I suggest you submit according to the official application process released by the school. After all, this is the safest.
If you are worried that the website will crash during the submission, you can also count this part of the time in the application planning, and reserve 2-3 days as the submission time, during which time to finalize and submit.

What if I don't catch up with the first batch of applications for studying abroad? Today, we talked about the "first batch and second batch" of applications. In general, in rolling admissions, it is indeed advantageous to submit as soon as possible, but it does not mean that the second and third batches will not be avoided. If your time is really tight at this time, such as the late start of the collection of works, more content to be adjusted, etc., it is safer to submit applications in the second batch when it is determined that the school will have a second batch of applications!
