In the first year of undergraduate course, I will study music history, original music and studio composition, analysis, and performance skills.   

In the second year and the third year, students can develop in one or more fields of their own expertise. In the second year of the undergraduate course, two high-level compulsory course units are music history, and optional courses can be selected, including acoustic music and studio composition, performance, advanced technology research, analysis, transcript/editing, and music history research.

Postgraduates majoring in music aim at five directions, namely composition, medieval music, music theory, performance and Russian music.   

Students can choose their own fields of specialization. The courses vary according to the direction they choose. However, basic courses are all required to learn, including music research skills, professional knowledge, etc. In addition, there are a wealth of elective courses. At the end of postgraduate courses, graduation projects need to be produced. These projects can be papers on music methodology or music publications (including Russian music and medieval music), a main professional performance solo, a minor professional performance solo, and a collection of works.  

 

Film and television music composition  

 

This major provides professional training for screen media composition. The course is taught by visiting composers in the industry, and students will gain solid technical application skills and understand the score of film and television screens. The school encourages students and establishes cooperation opportunities for students, which is not limited to the school, but also includes film projects, animations, documentaries, etc.   

In the first semester of postgraduate, I studied professional technology, introduced my work and recording studio, composed music for media, and focused on TV and documentary work. Students can also choose an optional subject.   

For the second study of graduate students, the course began to shift to critical analysis of media music and film scores, focusing on long-term projects of film and television. This work can be selectively added to the final collection of works.
