International Student Scholarship 3+2 College Program

SFCM has a 3+2 program at Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou, China. Students of Xinghai Conservatory of Music must apply for 3+2 courses in the first semester of grade three. Those who are approved to participate in the program must still complete the complete application and audition procedures of the SFCM two-year master of music program. There is no guarantee of acceptance of the Master of Music course. The acceptance of the plan, the allocation of the studio, the English level and the award of the scholarship will be determined using the same deadline and requirements as listed on our "How to Apply" page and above. Applicants who have questions about their 3+2 plan should contact Lisa Nickels, Director of Admissions.

   International student qualification:

International students applying for scholarships must complete the financial institution certification and CSS/financial aid profile (school code: 4744) before February 15. All forms can be directly emailed to finaid sfcm.edu.

Before submitting all required financial documents, San Francisco Conservatory of Music Scholarships will not be considered for international students. We don't offer cost of living scholarships.

Once you accept the offer, in order for the Conservatory to issue Form I-20, you will need to show proof of sufficient funds to cover any tuition fees not covered by the scholarship assistance and all living and travel expenses (total budget less any scholarships awarded). Proof of sufficient funds including original bank statements. If the statement is not made on behalf of the student, a complete affidavit of support is required.

***All full-time students must purchase health insurance. The undergraduate cost of the student health insurance scheme is estimated at $2140 ($895 in autumn, $1245 in spring and summer), while the graduate cost is $2905 per year ($1215 in autumn, $1690 in spring). The autumn coverage ranges from 8/1/2019 to 12/31/2019, and the spring coverage ranges from 1/1/2020 to 7/31/2020. All students will deduct this fee from their student billing account until they have obtained an insurance certificate and a signed exemption form.
