Music degree and diploma
The Bachelor of Music degree program combines your professional study with liberal arts courses to provide you with a broad background to study and pursue your goals in music.
This professional diploma is almost totally devoted to music research. It includes few liberal arts courses and does not provide music therapy and music education majors. If you have accepted the diploma course, and if you meet certain academic requirements, you can transfer to the degree course when you register at the Berklee College Of Music.
Dual specialty
Students can combine 12 majors of Berkeley Conservatory of Music, depending on the nature of the project. Dual professional courses require five years of study, and both degree and diploma candidates can participate.

The admissions committee will consider both academic achievements and musical qualifications. Berkeley has no specific GPA or test score requirements, nor any specific class ranking requirements. Applicants must be able to speak English and must have completed high school/high school studies when entering Berkeley. Our audition and interview process and comprehensive evaluation of each applicant can provide us with a lot of information so that we can evaluate whether you can succeed in Berkeley.
Berkeley's application process includes three steps:
1. Application and fees: complete and submit the online application, and pay the application fee of USD 150.00 (non refundable). The website for this step is apply.berklee.edu.
2. Audition and interview: As a link of applying for admission to the school, you need to complete on-site audition and interview. You can participate in auditions and interviews whether or not the school has received your supporting materials. Berkeley has auditions and interviews all over the world.
3. Supporting materials: The applicant shall submit the latest official transcript or general equivalent diploma (GED). Applicants who have obtained university credits in other universities must also submit official transcripts.
Audition
The audition takes about 15 minutes and may include the following parts:
A prepared track of your choice
Improvise a harmonic accompaniment, simple blues or standard tune
Score reading and visual performance assessment
Listening training of melody, harmony and beat
