In fact, I have been painting since Grade 1 and have been wandering on the edge of art. When choosing the American high school, I also directly chose the art high school. I know in my heart that I will definitely embark on the road of art.
However, when we know the road of art, we don't know the specific direction. Unlike my American classmates, everyone knows what they want. The real determination to take the road of architecture came after the art courses of plane, jewelry and entertainment. After each try, I really found my heart.

"I reconstitute poetry into architecture, and time becomes space"
In my collection of works, the first of the three major projects is based on my own interests. I have practiced cello, which is a poetic instrument. The music is melodious and romantic. The teacher of natural light gave me a lot of advice on my ideas. So we started with the cello and transformed its poetic flavor into a building.
Although we are ready to go online, we can only do it by ourselves. So I went to buy a convenient hand-made violin. I disassembled the violin and rebuilt it into an abstract building. It includes 1 hall, 2 vestibules and a concert hall. Finally, a large concert hall composed of zithers was formed.
For the second project, I created a space related to the bifurcation of time with the inspiration of Borges's novel The Garden of Forking Paths. I chose to use hexagon to combine this space. The reason for choosing a hexagon is that it can be combined at will, either bifurcated or combined, like the bifurcation and continuation of time.
Hexagons can be arranged at will whether they are planar or three-dimensional. It can evolve into various ways and combinations at will. Just like in the novel The Garden of Bifurcation on the Path, time can bifurcate on nodes like space.

The third collection of works is actually a project in Cornell's online classes. In the process of divergent thinking, the teacher asked us to use 3 pieces of paper to cut and make changes. Most of my classmates cut things like cross cutting, which I really think is too stereotyped. So I made a curvilinear cutting.
When doing this, the head was divided into six parts, which disturbed the composition of a building. Although I was very satisfied with my streamline when cutting paper, I also drew the curves of the manuscript happily. But when it comes to modeling in software, it's really hard to say. However, once the effect picture is made completely, it is very successful. This should be the charm of architecture~
"Summer school is really very useful!"
As I said just now, I chose architecture because I tried many art subjects. Where do these opportunities for trial and error come from? Art Summer Camp! During my four years of high school in the United States, I went back to summer school every summer vacation. Including the Cornell architectural project, I learned a lot of art related knowledge. Isn't there a lot of summer programs for natural light? If you can improve your skills and accumulate experience, you will really have a clearer direction for your future.
In addition, the teacher of natural light mainly provided a lot of help on ideas, so that I can better understand how to spread my ideas into the architectural space. For example, in an Art work I completed in the course of natural light, I let religion and science coexist, and depicted three parts: far, middle and fine scenes.
The last thing I want to say is, Be sure to keep your grades! GPA is also very important. There are many students who concentrate on their art and neglect their achievements, which will really affect their application, especially in comprehensive colleges. GPA is really a threshold. So we must remember that achievements are also very important!
