Iowa State University's graduate program in landscape design ranked 21st. Architecture, interior design and landscape architecture are all at the Iowa State University School of Design. Today, I would like to introduce the landscape architecture major of Iowa State University and its application requirements.


   Master of Landscape Architecture:


The Department of Landscape Architecture at Iowa State University offers an accredited three-year Master of Professional Landscape Architecture (MLA) degree. The department also offers a two-year post master's degree in landscape architecture (MLA). This advanced status applies to certification programs where students in the United States and Canada hold a bachelor's degree in landscape design. The senior status will be determined by the MLA Application Review Committee. The department is also working with the Ministry of Community and Regional Planning (MLA/MCRP) and the Interdisciplinary Master of Urban Design (MLA/MUD) and the Master of Sustainable Environmental Design (MLA/MDesSE).

● The minimum GPA of transferable courses for all engineering applicants is 2.75

The undergraduate landscape architecture major of Iowa State University rose to the 8th place this year, higher than the 11th place in 2017-2018. In 13 of the past 14 years, it has been ranked in the top 15 (Design Intelligence has ranked landscape design courses since 2005).
