Today, natural light comes to share with you natural light Studying abroad in film major Tutor Lin's Studied in the UK as a film major Experience. Before the opening, Mr. Lin first introduced a place - ICA London (Institute of Contemporary Arts). There are more than one ICA, and many places have ICA as an organization. Today we will mainly introduce ICA in London!

Miss Lin is here London Film Academy Overseas Study When I realized that this is a city with rich film resources, I gradually realized why the school charges so much and the cost of living is so high! Mr. Lin is making full use of the free resources of the school (free actor associations, free equipment, free student cooperation, free teachers one-on-one, etc.), and also uses the resources outside the school. ICA is the most important one in the movie treasure trove he excavated. It is a small art organization, which not only has contemporary art exhibitions, but also has two small cinemas.

ICA's video library is very magical, and there will be director meetings from time to time. Teacher Lin also met his favorite Andrei Zvyagintsev in this place, saw Andrei Tarkovsky's The Mirror and Stalker in this place, and was shocked to be speechless.

This place is really a treasure house of movies, and it is located next to Buckingham Palace, in St Next to James Park, (The Mall, St. James', London SW1Y 5AH UK); I always thought that the cinema of this art institution only showed "mainstream art films". Then one day, ICA, which used to show good European and American films, suddenly added something new to its film library, which is Latin American films.

yes:

⊙ The Club

⊙ From Afar

⊙ Embrace of the Serpent

⊙ Aquarius

⊙ Boy super white (G ü eros)

⊙ Chronic

Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg of excellent Latin American films, just in recent years Latin American film He was really surprised by the blowout, and the most surprising thing is that Latin American films are not only large in number, but also of high quality.

For example:

⊙ The Distinguished Citizen

⊙ After Lucia

⊙ A Fantastic Woman (Best Script of Silver Bear at 2017 Berlin Film Festival, Best Foreign Language Film at 2018 Oscar)

Many, many,,,

Latin American films have begun to cover a variety of topics: homosexuality, school violence, growth, sexual assault, queer, transgender, family, culture. As for why Latin American films have such a situation, rather than just analyzing Latin America, we should look at the situation of films around the world:

● Eastern Europe is supported by the Romanian New Wave (headed by Christian Monge).

● Japanese films are on the rise (represented by Yuhe Shizhi).

● Films in Western Europe are always unpredictable and will surprise everyone at any time.

● American films are becoming more and more "gentle", and their exploration of individuals is becoming more and more profound (more European), although the recent sexual assault has a great impact.

● The Nordic movies will be specially promoted later because they are so powerful.

● After experiencing the glory of adapting films based on real events in the past few years, Korean films also immersed themselves and continued to explore the most suitable expression method (such as Hong Shangxiu).

● This region belongs to Eastern Europe, but it should be listed separately, that is, Georgia.

For movies, the style of a country's movies before, during and after the war is completely different; Before the war, most countries were conservative, and during the war, they were radical. After the war, they tended to reflect on themselves regardless of whether they won or lost. Georgia belongs to the post-war zone.

They have just ended the war with Russia, and the country is in ruins. All aspects need reconstruction, and all aspects are full of problems; In such an environment, some of the best hotbeds of art came into being (especially new realism).

In addition, the Georgian government has begun to implement the "Film in Georgia" film industry stimulus plan, which costs the return of good Georgian films (personally, this policy is very similar to the policy of the Korean government to relax the shooting restrictions on film subjects in order to promote the foreign invasion of the Korean cultural industry).

Therefore, a number of excellent "Georgian neo realism" films (similar to Italian neo realism, such as Susa and Sun City) have emerged.

Sun City was also shown in the ICA at the beginning. The trailer of this film amazed me. The train started slowly. A man stood beside a dilapidated train and looked into the distance. In the distance was Georgia's devastated cities, forests and mines. The whole trailer was edited once, without pushing, pulling, swaying or emotional change, but it vividly showed the social reality of Georgia after the war to the audience, and the story also happened here.

Personally, I am looking forward to more good movies in Georgia. The development of movies in this country fully meets the requirements of producing good movies. I will not elaborate on those points. If you are interested, you can talk to Mr. Lin!

Let's talk about China. Apart from a small number of very good "Chinese films", let's take a look at mainstream Chinese films with good phenomenal box office... Maybe this is a new wave in the opposite direction? I don't know much about it. Maybe it's Sina Wave...

The integration of the world, the spread of culture, human self reflection, the concern for individuals, the rapid development, and various social and family problems have all led to the vigorous development of the "art film industry" (I personally do not like to say that this kind of film is an art film, and I think this is what the film should be like, not just the biggest entertainment function).

I don't say much about the details in each section, but more about britain Studying abroad in film major Welcome to find your tutor's personal letter!
