However, the IELTS exam was suspended due to the domestic epidemic. According to the official recruitment staff of Lunyi, the enrollment rate of the language class this year has increased by 30% compared with the same period of previous years. The number of places has been in urgent need. It is also suggested that students who have not yet obtained IELTS scores at this stage should always pay attention to the IELTS application information and try their best to get a place as soon as possible.

In the announcement issued by the university on February 4, it was also mentioned that the current situation of IELTS test suspension due to the epidemic in China, and Lunyi also said that if other conditions are met, Chinese students' IELTS scores within two years can be recognized.

In addition, Lunyi's language classes can accept PTE or ordinary IELTS scores for applicants of undergraduate courses or above, and provide short-term visas for language classes. After that, they can go back to China to apply for T4 visas for regular courses, but UKVI IELTS scores must be provided for undergraduate preparatory majors.

Score requirements for converting IELTS 6.0 courses into PTE
Royal University of the Arts
RCA also provides corresponding language classes for applicants who have received conditional offers and have not yet met the language requirements before the course:

8 Week Pre professional This course focuses on the language communication skills required by all RCA courses
Application requirements: IELTS no less than 6.0, writing minimum 5.5 – 6.0
Or 6.5 in total, 5.5 in writing
Class time: July 13 to September 4, 2020

From the current point of view, RCA has not proposed specific solutions except for language classes, but the college promises to fully support Chinese students in completing their studies, and hopes that applicants who may have problems due to the epidemic can immediately contact the college, and Student Support will help students deal with them.
University of Edinburgh
University of Edinburgh At present, there are two kinds of language courses, 7 weeks and 10 weeks, and students are required to provide UKVI IELTS scores. A few weeks ago, it was also decided to cancel the recognition of PTE's language test. The following are the specific conditions for the two kinds of language classes:

If students want to exchange for joint CAS, they must meet all the conditions for language courses and applying for majors at the same time. However, according to the latest feedback from the colleges and universities, they will also discuss this issue and give an answer as soon as possible in view of the current epidemic situation and the current situation that the IELTS test centers in China are closed in March.
AA Architectural Alliance College
AA has always required students to submit their UKVI IELTS scores before, but recently announced that the TOEFL test can also be accepted as a substitute for IELTS scores after being approved by the British IELTS. Applicants for the 2020/21 academic year are required to submit their English test scores before May 22, 2020, so that they can successfully enter the first semester.
Kingston University
In response to the special situation this year, Kingston University has adjusted the admission time of language classes and applied for DDL, providing more options for students who have been suspended from the IELTS exam. According to the summer and autumn semester of 2020, they are divided into language courses of different types and purposes:

According to the latest feedback from colleges and universities, they will also provide joint CAS (Confirmation Acceptance of Studies, which is one of the most important visa materials for studying in the UK, including mid-term or short-term pre course language courses for degree courses.)

The requirement is that students have met all other admission conditions, but also have the requirements of medium or short-term pre class language. Students who are eligible for this Joint CAS need to achieve the corresponding language scores proposed by the institutions (IELTS scores above 5.5 are recognized as ordinary IELTS scores, but UKVI IELTS scores below 5.5 are required).

The university also said that it was exploring other ways to help, such as providing some online courses for students who could not leave the region, and providing long-term language courses in autumn. If students encounter other problems, they can also contact the colleges and universities for official answers.
Leeds University
Leeds University will not consider teaching language courses online for the time being, but the school said that it can issue Joint CAS to students of language classes who participate in 6 weeks and 10 weeks. Information about other language courses needs further discussion and confirmation.
Joint CAS means that if the applicant's academic requirements (such as school performance, graduation certificate, and degree certificate) have met the requirements of the offer letter, the school can combine the CAS of 10 or 6 weeks of language courses and master's main courses together, and only one CAS letter can be issued for the visa application of the whole stage of studying abroad.
The following are the requirements and specific information of Leeds University for language class application at undergraduate level:

Specific information and start time of the language class at the graduate stage:

In this case, since the joint CAS covers a degree course, students can apply for a visa without using the UKVI certified IELTS, which means that they can apply for a 10 week/6 week language class and visa using the language scores recognized by the University of Leeds (ordinary IELTS, PTE or TOEFL), which also provides more flexible choices and convenience for applicants.
However, please note that this joint CAS policy is not suitable for students who only apply for a single language class, and applicants need to meet the academic requirements of the offer before the deadline for language class registration, and submit graduation certificates, degree certificates and final transcripts.
University of Creative Arts
UCA has set up short-term English language courses in both the UK and China, and has now started to register in full, but no latest policy has been introduced for the language class, and according to the feedback from the colleges, it is still under discussion.
The following are the specific arrangements and requirements for language courses:

Before applying for a short-term English language course, the applicant must have an admission notice for the major course. As the number of short-term courses is limited, the college also recommends that you apply as soon as possible.
Coventry University
Up to now, the language class of Coventry University has accepted applicants who have already obtained UKVI (T4 visa), IELTS or taken the school's internal test scores, or students can choose to open language courses in China (specific arrangements will be announced later).
The following figure shows the specific requirements and relevant information of the language class of Coventry University in the spring semester of 2020:

Coventry University was originally expected to start the domestic English internal examination on March 27 (if affected by the epidemic, the examination time will be postponed). The school will accept students who have already held UKVI, non UKVI IELTS scores, PTE or relevant English proficiency certificates to apply for the school's English internal examination. The internal test results can be used to match the courses for applying for preschool language classes.
Applicants can submit relevant language scores at least 3 weeks before the start of the main course or language course.
Birmingham City University
At present, BCU has not notified the college language class to accept the scores for reasons other than UKVI IELTS.
In the domestic stage, the internal test in March has been canceled and will be arranged in April.
Bournemouth University
Bournemouth University provides online internal English testing opportunities for students who cannot meet the requirements of the IELTS degree program. The test results can be used to enroll in domestic language courses. The examination results can also be used for undergraduate and master programs if they meet the English entry requirements for the degree program of Bournemouth University.
This exam is an appointment system. It is also recommended that students contact and register with the official domestic admission office as soon as possible to get more choice of time and place for the exam. The cities that can be booked are: Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Xiamen, Xi'an, Zhengzhou. The specific examination time of each city will be notified after registration.
This test is automatically timed by computer, so there is no fixed starting and ending time. The test takes about 4 hours.
De Montfort University
At present, language classes on the British campus of De Montfort University can only accept UKVI IELTS, and non UKVI IELTS can choose to attend domestic language classes. PTE can only be used for direct recording, not for reading language courses.
In addition, according to the feedback of colleges and universities, online language tests will also be launched later to cope with the current English test that cannot be arranged to participate in the internal test on the spot. If the online test meets the admission requirements of colleges and universities, students can directly apply for a visa to attend the main course;
If the direct recording requirements are not met, students are advised to register for domestic language classes as soon as possible.
University of Liverpool
The University of Liverpool can accept the scores of IELTS, PTE, TOEFL and other relevant language tests to apply for professional courses for graduate students. Score requirements: PTE requires a total score of 62 for all disciplines, and no less than 51 for all individual items. TOEFL is shown in the figure below:

The University of Liverpool can accept 6 weeks and 10 weeks of language courses, and apply for the general IELTS scores of students in joint CAS as language certificates. The time and cost of the course are as follows:

The latest processing time of Joint CAS is 10 weeks – before May 22, 2020, and 6 weeks – before June 19, 2020. For specific application conditions and required materials, please refer to the relevant information on the official website of the university.
Cardiff University
With regard to the cancellation of the IELTS test in March, Cardiff University is also holding a series of meetings and discussions. It is not expected that external objective factors will affect the admission of Chinese students. But in the current situation, the school cannot give you a positive answer.
The school does not consider online teaching at present. According to the cancellation of the exams in February and March, teachers at Cardiff University suggested that students sign up for the IELTS exams in April and May at the same time in case of other accidents.
As IELTS 6.0 is relatively easy to obtain short-term language courses, I hope you can take it as your minimum goal.
Brunel University
Brunel University's language class provides 4-week language learning, and has always been able to accept PTE scores. However, at present, non UKVI IELTS scores are not recommended. Language classes can only provide short-term student access visas for students, and formal courses need to return to China after language scores meet the standards.

Brunel University has an online language test every year. Please refer to the official website for the specific time. The real-time test may be closed.
University of Southampton
At present, the language class only accepts UKVI IELTS, but the school will consider whether to relax the policy.
The online teaching of all pre-school language courses has not been confirmed, and the option of Joint CAS is also being discussed by the university.
What should I do if my language scores are not up to the standard? Today, we summarized the information of language classes in British colleges and universities. In the face of the current situation that the domestic IELTS has been called off in an all-round way, British colleges and universities are actively thinking about how to deal with this emergency, and have made decisions to adjust application requirements, increase language classes, open online testing channels and so on, which will help us overcome the difficulties.
In such a situation, the first and most important thing for students who plan to enroll in 2020 is to prepare calmly for the exam and reserve their ability to cope with different types of language examinations. Secondly, they should always observe the news released by the institutions and the official IELTS, and try to seize the IELTS exam seats or the language class seats of the target institutions in April and May to ensure their smooth enrollment.
At present, many students have reported that recently, some IELTS dealers have sold "internal exam seats" in the circle of friends and disclosed some "internal information". For example, recently, it was reported that the domestic IELTS exam venues in April would also be canceled. However, in fact, there is no official announcement of IELTS at present, so students should not be flustered by it, let alone trust unreliable "gossip".
During this period, Natural Light will also use its own superior resources and years of accumulated college experience and background to bring you the latest official news of the college, and will also help students establish the most comprehensive and targeted application guarantee through sufficient online class resources!
