Utrecht Academy of Arts (HKU University of the Arts Utrecht) is one of the largest art academies in Europe. There are about 3000 students and 500 teaching staff in Utrecht, Hilversum and Amhersford in the Netherlands. Design discipline （Bachelor of Design--BDes)

At Utrecht Academy of Arts, you can choose different directions: design, drama performance, media, to obtain the degree of "BDes". These courses are taught in Dutch. In the second or third year of enrollment, there will be some exchange programs, and the learning language of exchange programs is English.

Animation （Animation)

Animation majors will teach students a wide range of animation processing skills, including traditional skills, 2D and 3D computer animation skills. Students will have a comprehensive understanding of the animation production process, cultivate the concept of applying animation and free animation, and gradually master the knowledge of all levels of animation, from story building to sound production. At the same time, students can learn how to choose the most suitable working technology and environment for animation work.

Audition media （Audiovisual Media)

In the BDes media course, students will gradually form their understanding of different video genres and techniques. Students will learn in a series of different production environments: camera, sound processing, editing, production, script formation, and direction refinement. You will have a comprehensive understanding of the production process of the audition media, and master the skills and techniques required in different production stages (concept, research, script, production, technical realization and post processing). Students will learn how to use digital recording means, editing equipment, and obtain a series of practical experience in the preparation and implementation of video production.

Graphic Artist Designer （Graphic Design)

Graphic design is a career direction integrating communication and social commitment. In this major, you will learn how to convey ideas through the visual system like everyone else. Through research and conceptual thinking, you will learn to visualize information as efficiently as possible, and learn to convey information through books, posters, websites and other channels. In this regard, you not only need to master a series of visual communication channels and visual language, but also need to have a deep understanding and insight into their working environment.

space design

With a Bachelor of Design (BDES) degree in space design, you will learn how to integrate buildings and interiors in new environments and design interiors for existing environments. In addition, you will have knowledge of planning, architecture and urban development.

Art management (Master of Arts(MA)

Are you the future art manager? A MA in Art Management from Utrecht Academy of Arts will prepare you for this career. During the one-year postgraduate study, practical experience and theoretical knowledge will be well combined to lay a good foundation for your career development.

MA in Art Management is a full-time postgraduate major, with a specific duration of 48 weeks. This major starts in September and ends in August of the next year. This major is designed for aspiring young professionals who are looking forward to promoting themselves in the creative industry.

This major is divided into two semesters. From September to February of the next year, students participate in some work creation activities. The second half of the semester, from February to August of the next year, is the part of personal research.

pure art (Master of Arts(MA)

The pure art of Utrecht University opens a window to your visual learning world. Let you see the vast visual world and even the colorful phenomenon and posture of life itself. In addition to traditional art forms such as oil painting, sculpture and photography, this major focuses on many cross media forms of visual expression.

These include media art, exploration of social/urban environment, and construction of visual knowledge.

The one-year pure art major includes three parallel courses. Including: discipline, critical studies, and individual research project.
