What are the advantageous majors of Goldsmith College?

   1、Communication&Experience

Focusing on investigation and communication, in the process of critical participation in social, cultural, political and exhibition concerns, the College encourages the use of all means and media to explore new forms and spread language through the interaction of space, performance, objects, films, sounds, games, activism, language, etc. (It is suitable for most students to apply. There is no restriction on the form of expression. Students are actively encouraged to explore and make breakthroughs in various forms.)

   2、Fashions&Embodiment

It promotes the dialogue between manufacturing and destruction, global and local, ethics and aesthetics, objects and systems, and body and clothing. We challenge the recognized boundaries and concepts, and explore the mode of fashion as a collective agent. This requires questioning the relationship between fashion and consumption, and generating knowledge and methods to promote the ability of fashion and clothing change. The goal is to broaden and reposition fashion practice and explore innovative ways of thinking, making and doing fashion by rethinking the relationship between clothing, images, text, body and context. (Suitable for students of fashion design and jewelry design.)

   3、Innovation&Service

Set foot in the emerging design field, and combine the knowledge and process of new forms that shape the innovative future with the practice that constitutes innovation. Explore how service design empowers society, from individual citizens to the larger organizations that make up our social and cultural world. Discuss the responsibility in innovation and encourage design as a practice with creative awareness. (Suitable for service design students.)

   4、Interactions&Experiments

Explore creative design methods and design led research. We know that the process of design is closely related to the formation of the social world. We develop experiments, explore the interconnection of the designed social world, and focus on the interaction between human and non-human, such as technology, infrastructure, policy and animals. Then, we work in these interrelated relationships, develop new interactions through material reactions, and bring new design methods in this way. (Suitable for students of interaction design and product design.)

   5、Spaces&Participation

The design is positioned in the complex space political network, with the ability of positive and change. Focusing on controlling the "behavior mode" in the system, exploring the materiality of space, people and users begin to negotiate and shape their behavior, and act (mutually) in a responsive and innovative way - from individuals and intimacy to buildings and planets. (Suitable for students majoring in architecture and interior design.)
