School environment and evaluation

Founded in 1838, the University of Westminster has taught education to overseas students for more than 150 years. The university has more than 25000 students and is one of the largest universities in the UK. Its media major ranks among the top three in the UK, and the courses of the Language Institute are unparalleled in the UK. It is the only designated training school for officials of the British Foreign Office.

The University of Westminster has four campuses, three of which (Cavendish, Marylebone and Regent) are located in the center of London and close to each other. Students in this school often find themselves studying near some of London's most famous streets (Oxford Street, Baker Street and Tottenham Court Road) and historic buildings (Regency Park, Telecom Tower, Marble Arch and Centre Point Tower). These campuses also arrange many social, cultural, historical and intellectual activities for the students of the school. The campus can provide them with all the conveniences that students expect from a capital.

The campus in Harrow is the fourth campus of the University of Westminster, which provides a quieter and more peaceful pace of life than other campuses in the urban area. It is close to the suburbs in the north of London and boasts a large area of green land. The campus is also close to the center of Harrow Town, where there is a shopping center, cinema, bar, restaurant and various other shops and service places. For more than 150 years, the University of Westminster has been in a leading position in the development of new technologies and modern vocational practice training courses. The school has won the Queen of International Trade Enterprise Award, which fully reflects the good reputation of providing world-class education for overseas students. The Financial Times has listed the university as the top "modern" university in the UK for four consecutive years.

Admission requirements

How does Westminster apply?

When to apply

You can apply at least one year in advance of the commencement date. For courses admitted in September 2017, we will open applications on May 24, 2016.

How to apply

You can apply online through the "Application" on the official website. New users need to register an account.

You don't need to fill in all the application information at once, but you can save the completed part for later filling. Each section has a filling guide.

Once the application is completed, you can use the online follow-up service (Track) to check the application progress. In the online follow-up service (Track), you can view and respond to your admission notice, add options, and notify us of your contact information changes. You can only apply once a year. We will cancel subsequent applications in the same year. Students can apply by themselves or through schools, universities or consultants. If you have already registered on UCAS using "Apply", you can also apply through the British Council Office. If you choose an authorized office to apply for a British university, you should check with the British Council whether it has an accredited or registered office in your country.

Application materials

qualification

Before you go to the UK to study, you must provide details of all qualifications that have been completed, are being completed or plan to be completed.

If your qualification is not found in the qualification name or country, you should choose "Other" and provide as much information as possible. Do not leave blank.

You should check with the university and college you intend to apply to to see if the qualification certificates are appropriate.

If your first language is not English, you should submit an IELTS transcript or enter the English language test information you have taken or plan to take.

Personal statement

The personal statement is an important part of the application, giving you the opportunity to state to the university and college you are applying for why you want to be admitted. The admissions officer wants to know why you are interested in the selected course, as well as your enthusiasm and commitment to the applied course. A good personal statement can help persuade the admissions officer to accept you. You can find useful information on how to write a personal statement on ucastv and the official website. You can only submit a personal statement in the "Application" so that the enrollment screener can understand each course you apply for. You can read other information of the applied course in the course search. Make sure your personal statement is completed by yourself, which is what British universities and colleges want to see.

recommendation

The recommendation letter is a vital part of the application. We will not process your application without the details of the recommender and their letter of recommendation. We do not accept letters of recommendation from family members, friends or spouses. The recommendation letter must be in English and can be translated.
